I don't think the extent that I get excited about a new Soap & Glory creation is normal so needless to say the extent to which I get excited about coming home with two new products is bordering on the ridiculous!! I'll begin with the Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream...

What does the product do?
The product is a lightly whipped body butter which promises to leave the skin feeling soft and smooth. It is a nourishing product which contains a variety of natural oils including Almond Oil, Pistachio Oil, Coconut Oil as well as both Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter. The combination of these ingredients promise to leave the skin in a better condition and looking healthier.

How do you use the product?
You use the product in the same way in which you would use any other body butter. It is to be applied generously to clean, dry skin and massaged into the skin until it has been fully absorbed. It can be used all over the body and it can be applied as often as required.

Packaging and Price
The product comes contained within a circular wide mouthed tub which has a screw top lid. This design means that you can easily control the amount that you need to use and so none of the product will go to waste. The tub is a creamy colour and the lid is pink. Some extra information is given about the product on a sticky label. You can buy the product for around £10 and it can be bought from stores such as Boots and also from the Soap & Glory website.

Application and Performance
The product has the consistency that you would expect a butter to have. It is thick and luxurious but not so thick that it makes it hard to work with. The aroma is evident is a bit more grown up than that which you would normally get with this brand. I love Soap & Glory fragrances but they can be a bit sugary and sweet for some. This one is along the same lines of the Whipped Clean shower gel which I reviewed earlier. The tub states that it has a pistachio, almond and sweet vanilla fragrance and this is about right.
It has a warmth and a nutiness too it but it isn't 'out there' enough to be too many people's disliking.

You don't need to use much of this product in order to get the desired results. Despite its thickness, it does get absorbed fairly easy when you massage it into the skin. It makes my skin feel instantly more comfortable and removes feelings of dryness and tightness straight away. It doesn't make my skin look or feel greasy and I can dress really quickly after application. It leaves a slight healthy sheen on the skin and makes my skin look in an all round better condition. It makes my skin feel really silky and soft, and the effects are really long lasting meaning that it still feels soft when I get into bed in the evenings. It hasn't caused any discomfort or irritations on my sometimes sensitive skin.

Conclusion
All in all, this is just as good as the other butters by Soap & Glory. It leaves my skin feeling and looking in a much better condition. The results are long lasting and the aroma is more grown up so if the others were a big sugary and sweet for you, this one is a better solution for you! I love this and I would happily repurchase.
