Advantages: Stylish container, no greasy residue, brill consistency, tanning aid!

Disadvantages: Perhaps that it eventually runs out and you have to buy more?

I searched and searched and searched for a birthday present for my mum, being a skint student and it being a week before payday, I struggled. So feeling disappointed with what my small town had to offer I went into Boots and that my friends was a life changing moment, as soon as I reached the Soap and Glory section I knew I had uncovered something very special. I spent a long time looking and finally decided that my mum would love the sugar scrub. Sadly, my mum never got to use it as I thought it was just far too good to give away! This is my review of my now favourite beauty product!

The packaging and price

Priced usually at £8.81, I feel although this is the best part of a tenner it is a worthwhile investment to make. The body scrub comes in a large 450ml tub with a screw top lid. The tub looks is nicely decorated and therefore makes a perfect gift.

In Boots at the moment there is 1/3 off selected spa range products and this is one of them. So definitely worth a try at only £5.87.

The product

The product has the consistency of wall paper paste so is very easy to use, some exfoliates can be a bit watery and just fall through your fingers, or they can be far to gritty that when you put it on yourself they just do not do much good. With this paste like scrub you can take your desired amount out of the tub and use it on your body without it falling all over the shower or losing it to bath water!

Although its a sugar scrub it is not too harsh on skin, yet still leaves skin feeling polished and fresh. So this would probably make it good for people with more sensitive skin (although it does state not too use on broken skin).

Another good point of this product is it does not leave your skin feeling greasy and oily (or your bath for that matter), it works well to exfoliate and then rinses off easily leaving you with the beautiful sent but no greasy residue.

The scrub is a great prep for skin before going out sunbathing, I used it before going sunbathing, during our great British summer week, and found even when using my normal factor of sun cream which usually just gives me a slight glow I actually got a beautiful even tan and even got many people asking whether I had used a fake tan. I think this is because this exfoliate does such a good job of removing old dead skin, so it will definitely be an essential when I am packing for my holidays!

In conclusion - what a fabulous product, stylish container, easy to use exfoliate and a perfect tanning aid! Give it a try!

Summary: A brilliant product, an essential for all who exfoliate!
