Advantages: Improves the appearance of cellulite, softens and firms skin, nice smell

Disadvantages: A little expensive

I bought some of this after reading a write up in a weekly glossy enthused about it. It's manufactured by Soap and Glory, and the packaging is in a 50's kitsch style, which makes their products stand out in a display. The Firminator is a body contouring gel that can be used anywhere on the body to reduce cellulite and smooth the skin over the course of 56 days, on a twice a day basis. It contains multi-fruit smoothers, seaweed to detoxify, elasticity boosters and the all important Firm2Fit Complex. The Firm2Fit Complex is clinically proven to help drain cellular fat, therefore reducing the size of your fat cells and improving the look of your cellulite.

I have been using this for a few months now and it does seem to have made a difference - my thighs are much less dimpled and the skin is smoother and firmer. I have been exercising and drinking more water though, so it's difficult to say which element has made the difference, or if it's a combination of all three. The Firminator is a green gel, you squeeze a dollop into your hand and massage it into the affected areas (bum and thighs for me!). It takes a bit of time to rub in properly, which I gues all adds to how it works, and leaves the skin feeling pleasantly tingly for a few min utes. It smells quite strongly of menthol, so it isn't an unpleasant aroma, and t makes your skin feels softer almost immediately.

A 200ml tube costs around £10, you can buy it from places like Boots (who quite often have Soap and Glory products on 3 for 2 offers!), and it will last a few weeks, depending on how much you need to use.

I like this product as it's the only anti cellulite product I've used that seems to make a difference, and I like the way it makes my skin feel. I think you need to bear in mind that there's no miracle cure for cellulite though, and that it needs to be used in conjunction with lifestyle changes. It works best for the really stubborn bits that don't respond well to diet and exercise.

Summary: A good aid to help get rid of stubborn celluilie
