Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter
Advantages: Softens skin! Great packaging. Girly & cute. Fragrance is great!
I love, love, love Soap and Glory products. When i seem them, i can't help but buy, and that's exactly what happened when i seen Soap & Glory - The Righteous Body Butter. As featured on 'How to look good naked', i was convinced this was going to be another amazing product, and i wasn't disappointed.
The 200ml is retailed at Boots for £10.00, Harvey Nichols sells it for £10.50 and Asos are retailing it at £10.25. You can also buy sets which include the cream along with many other S&G products, so it may be worth your while buying a set if you are looking for good value for money! Boots also often do 3 for 2 deals instore, so check regularly to catch the best deals and bargains. You can also buy The Righteous Body Butter in a 50ml tub, which would be a lot cheaper and a good choice for trailists and first time buyers.
S&G packaging never fail to put a smile on my face, they're cute, girly and extremely fun! It's a plastic tub, which is relatively big and very sturdy, so i would be pretty confident that spillages would never occur. The container is a pink colour with the lid a slightly darker shade of pink. There's a black and white picture of a woman on the top of the lid and has labels on which are yellow, pink and silver, and are of a very old fashioned style. 'Bored? Lost that rubbing feeling? Why not try.. The Righteous Butter. A body moisturising formula so virtuous, you might swear you're wearing velvet.' It's slogans like this that catch the consumers attention. On the bottom is a sticker, which you can pull at the edge to reveal a book which gives you the ingredients of the cream. The container is recyclable. The lid screws off, much like a bottle lid. It can sometimes become stiff and need a good grip to open. Once inside you can see the butter filling the container to the brim! Definetely good that the butter comes in a tub as it ensures that any excess during application can be put back, and there is no waste! And also you can use all the butter to the very last drop as accessing all of the tub is extremely easily, whereas with a bottle this would not be the case. The container also helps keep the butter cool, so it's nice and chilled when you apply.
The product itself is a white, silky and smooth cream. It's smell is similar to other S&G products, very flowery, feminine and fresh! It contains 'softening shea butter and aloe vera' which gives the butter it's gorgeous fragrance and it's amazing skin softening powers! It's very thick and as you could guess, turning it upside down holds no threats of spillages. This product is especially good for keeping your skin moisturised during the harsh winter months! It's a lustrous and long-lasting moisturiser, which works throughout the day to keep your skin moisturised and fairly cool.
The application is fairly simple. All you have to do is simply scoop out the desired amount and massage into damp skin, after showering or bathing. Any excess can be placed back into the container to ensure no waste. I find that using this product after exfoliating produces maximum results. The butter is quite thick, so extra attention and time are needed to ensure an even coverage. It absorbs nearly instantly after massaging into the skin.
After use, i felt my skin was without doubt softer and smoother! Not to mention, the gorgeous scent that lingered the whole day. It definetely gave me that velvety skin feeling that it claimed, and it moisturised my skin very well, leaving it feeling fresh and hydrated.
It's a little costly, but i guess i'm happy to pay as it gives excellent results!
I could definetely see results, and my faith in S&G products is still intact! I am unsure if i will use it daily as it's expensive compared to my other skin care product which does basically the same except without the fragrance, but i will use it on special occasions and weekends as a treat to my skin.
I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone as it is another amazing, reliable product from Soap and Glory. It's definetely worth the money for a luxurious, feminine body butter!
Summary: Lives up to the S&G name. Worth investing in! Would definetely recommend!
