I'm yet to meet a woman who doesn't like Soap and Glory products. All the girls of my age seem to love it, and I've got both my mum and my mother-in-law into the products so it's making its way across the generations. I'll have my nana hooked by next Christmas! Soap and Glory products are a Boots own make which have been on the market since 2006. They are distinctive as they generally have pink packaging with vintage style photographs and puns on the labels. I tend to find them easy to spot in Boots and they come under the luxury bathing aisle. The prices are a little higher then your average but I think they are worth it for the quality. I've had a few pots of The Righteous Butter in my time, my most recent pot came in the Christmas 'The Yule Monty' set. This set has products worth £73 but was on offer for one week only at £27 - Merry Christmas to me! My pot is 300ml and can be bought on its own for £10.50. The products are often on 3 for 2 and of course you can gain lovely Boots points on them. The pot is fairly large with a screw lid. This works fine for me, I usually unscrew the lid and leave it on the side whilst I apply the moisturiser, then screw it back on when my hands are clean of product. I never find it an issue to get the lid back on due to greasy hands. The product is not as hard as you might expect - I've tried body butters from The Body Shop etc which have been much hearder, this is like a thick moisturising cream. Soap and Glory also do body lotion which is similar but much softer, the body butter is more of a thick rich cream. The product is easy to scoop out of the pot and apply, I like that it isn't too hard as harder products can be tricky to rub in. The butter absorbs really quickly and skin feels hydrated but not greasy or sticky at all. I find it best to apply after a shower/bath when skin is soft and warm. The butter is scented with the Soap and Glory 'original pink' smell. It contains shea butter and aloe vera but I don't feel that you can smell either of these in particular. The smell is quite distinct and floral, but isn't sickly sweet. It's very girly and has a hint of citrus. I feel that S&G scents are very distinctive - I can identify them a mile away! I usually have a shower in the morning, apply The Righteous Butter and then put my dressing gown on to sort out my hair and makeup. As a result my dressing gown smells like the butter and it's delicious! The cream is white and therefore doesn't stain. The Righteous Butter is pricier than your lower end products but I think it's definitely worth it, especially as I use S&G shower gels and it builds a nice layer of fragrance. My skin feels lovely and mositurised, the smell is great and I can smell it on myself all day. I really can't recommend it highly enough!
This luxurious body butter was part of a Soap and Glory gift set that I received as a gift. The tub I have is the 300ml one but it also comes in a handy, smaller tube of 50ml. The packaging is the ever kitsch and retro style that Soap and Glory are known for. The 300ml tub is a screw top lid and is packed to the top with the product. The only reason I dislike this style of packaging is because if you wear acrylic nails (like myself) it is an absolute nightmare scooping the butter up out of the tub without half of it getting left behind underneath your nails! I normally only opt for tube creams for this reason. The smell is quite strong and long lasting. Although the smell is floral and pleasant I do find it just a little too overpowering. The butter is soft, thick and luxurious, a little goes a long way as I have had my tub for a good 5 months now. The main ingredient of Shea Butter is the magic ingredient in this cream. My skin is now very soft with no rough or dry patches. I have also used this in place of a hand cream and a foot cream with the same results If I was to purchase this product again I would definitely go for the tube over the tub. I do however don't think I will be as the fragrance is just too strong and synthetic for me.
Soap and Glory The Righteous Butter I have used so many soap and glory products over the years as part of sets, minis and full size products and soap and glory has to be one of my favourite body/body brands. - Product description (from Boots) "Butter yourself up: After showering or bathing, smooth a generous handful of Soap & Glory The Righteous ButterTM onto damp skin and massage gently until it sinks in. Then relax and take in the wonderful aroma's of leafy greens, bergamot and mandarin, with a floral and fruity middle note that makes your nose tingle a little, followed by soft, sexy, musk, oakmoss, amber and woody notes." - About the product This body butter is available in two sizes - 300ml and 50ml - I have the small 50ml tub. The product comes in the original soap and glory pink retro style packaging which I love. Soap and glory products are not tested on animals as far as I am aware. - Scent The scent of the soap and glory products in the pink packaging is the same - it is a gorgeous mix of floral notes and sweet notes - with a little bit of musk. The scent is really nice in my opinion and I does last for an average time, not as long as I would like it to though. The scent is apparently the same as Chanel Coco mademoiselle. - Using the product and results I have the small tub so I didn't take too long to use up but it lasted longer than I thought it would - this is because you only need a small amount, a little goes a fairly long way with this product. The butter is a really thick white cream and it does smell very nice, although it is not for everyone. The butter has a smooth creamy consistency and it applies nicely. It does not take too long to absorb, about five minutes or so which isn't too bad considering that it is a thick body butter - it is quicker to absorb when compared to the body shop body butters, in my opinion. When absorbed it leaves my skin slightly fragranced, smooth and moisturised which is great although sometimes it can feel a little heavy on the skin. The scent lasts for a couple of hours on the skin and the smooth moisturising effects last for hours. Overall, a very good product although I found myself getting bored of it fairly easily so I would definitely not buy the massive 300ml tub - also I hate the packaging, not the design but the tub. - Price and availability I received this as part of a gift set at Christmas. The large 300ml tub is priced at £10.50 in Boots which is a good price considering the quality of the product and the large amount you get but I like to change my bath/body products fairly regularly so I wouldn't buy the large tub. The mini 50ml size is great though, just as a tester or travel size product and it is priced at £2.50 in Boots. Conclusions Positives *Good value for money and a travel size is available *Really nice scent, although it will not be for everyone *Absorbs fairly quickly and it doesn't leave a residue *Leaves my skin smooth, moisturised and lightly fragranced Negatives *The tub design which is not very user friendly and it is not that hygienic Thank you for reading my review
I was bought some Soap and Glory products for Christmas and one of the things I received was the Righteous Butter. The tub I have is 50ml and it comes in a small pink tub with the Soap and Glory logo on the top. Its asturdy little pot which is good because I am a bit of a clutz and am always dropping things, many toiletry bottle have been broken as the develop a mind their own and jump from my hands onto the tile bathroom floor! The 50ml pot is sold as part of the travel range as it is a mini. It is priced at £2.50 in Boots and they currently have an offer on where you can buy 3 of the travel range products for the price of 2. They also have 3 for 2 on full size items and a full size pot of this is 300ml and costs £10.50. I hadn't used Soap and Glory before so this butter was an introduction to the brand for me. I am quite impressed by it! Made from Shea Butter and Aloe Vera amongst other things this butter is great for softening the skin. The smell hits you when you open the tub, I can't quite say what the scent is, is sort of sweet and musky, feminine but in no way overpowering. The scent lasts all day on my skin yet is quite subtle. The butter is a creamy white colour and looks quite thick, at first I thought it seemed too thick and was dubious that it would absorb into the skin properly, however I was wrong. The butter melts into the skin beautifully and does not leave any greasy residue. The tub says to rub into damp skin after bathing, I have done this several times and it works well, I have not applied to my body when I am totally dry but I have used it on my hands and found it still absorbs well. I have found it is very good for moisturizing and softening the skin and I really noticed redults after about 1 week. I am definitely a fan of this cream, the 50ml pot lasted me about 2 weeks using it once per day, I think I would consider buying the full size especially on the 3 for 2 offer, but of course it is more expensive than regular lotions and creams.
Soap & Glory The Righteous Body Butter The Righteous butter was in my Soap and Glory gift set from Boots at Christmas, excellent present for those who have never used any Soap and Glory products before, or for those like me who love the range a great way to top up our supplies for a fraction of the cost. =The Packaging= The Body Butter comes in a pink circular tub, and this has a screw top lid, there is plastic labels that explain about the product. It has the retro finish that I have come to assosiate with Soap and Glory products. =Price and Availability= Mine was in the gift set, but this can be purchased seperatly, and is priced at around £10 for a 300ml size tub. =Ingredients= The main ingredients in this body butter is Shea butter, which is known for softening the skin, and Aloe Vera which moisturises the skin. =The Body Butter= Once I opened the tub I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the butter was, it reminded me of candy floss and marshmallows combined. =Using the Cream= With the body butter, I just scooped some butter out with my fingers, it was so soft, I applied it to my skin, I have used it when i have damp skin after coming out of the shower, and also later on in the day time when my skin was dry, both times, it left my skin so soft and I felt like I was putting silk onto my skin, the butter was not thick and soaked into my skin straight away. =Luxury= With this body butter I find that I do not need to apply it every day, I use a couple of times a week, as I find that once applied my skin feels like it has been renewed and keeps it soft. A little really goes a long way with this butter. =Would I recommend= I would highly recommend this body butter, from the luxury feeling, the long staying feel of the butter and also found that it was not over powering at all.
My lovely hubby bought me a nice Soap and Glory Gift Set at Christmas. The set contained, amongst other things, a tub of The Righteous Butter. I think this is a full sized tub (300ml) and it's made of pink plastic with an easy to screw off lid. I love to use and try out different sorts of lotions and creams for my skin, it's a bit of a hobby of mine, but it can work out quite expensive. I was therefore delighted to find this body butter as part of the set as I love to use a nice quality body after my bath or the shower. The body butter itself is white in colour and about the same thickness, I'd say, as the Body Shop body butters I also love to use. The fragrance of this body butter is unique. It has a gorgeous fresh light scent to it. The fragrance is quite strong as soon as the top is removed and once it's been freshly applied to the skin it really seems to intensify the fragrance. About an hour or so after use the fragrance has subsided quite considerably and it leaves behind a delicate fresh fragrance of what I'd describe as being both citrussy and floral at the same time. It's quite a thick consistency and though it is pretty dense, it's still absorbed easily into my skin. I like to use this on the tops of my arms and the shin area of my legs where the skin is at its driest, especially at this time of the year when I have my central heating turned on full all the time. For anyone who may be interested, the entire ingredient list is: Aqua (Water), Butyrospermum parkii (Shea butter), Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Rosa Moschata Seed Oil, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Parfum (Fragrance), Phenoxyethanol, Dipropylene Glycol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Ethylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Potassium Hydroxide, BHT, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Geraniol, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citral, Propylparaben, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Disodium EDTA, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben. It's a really pleasant body butter to use. It does make my skin feel ever so slightly greasy at first but it's soon quickly absorbed into my skin and it makes a heck of a difference to the quality of my skin. I use this body butter on a regular basis and whist I haven't been enamoured with all Soap and Glory products I have tied in the past, I can say, hand on heart, this is one of the best products in this range I have tried so far. Real luxury for a relatively small price.
I was bought this as part of a Soap and Glory Giftset for Christmas, I am just working my way through all of the products. == Packaging == The packaging is an eye catching pink colour with retro style black and white images on. This is called The Righteous Butter. It is a 300 ml plastic tub with a screw top lid. On the top of the tub it says 'Get sinfully soft skin with our original formula righteous butter'. == The Product == The body butter is white and has quite a thick consistency. It is absorbed quickly into my skin and doesn't take too much rubbing in. Be warned though, a little goes a long way. The product is fragranced with the Soap & Glory Original Pink fragrance. On Soap & Glory's website it describes the scent as modern, fresh, fruity and citrus. They describe it as a summery fragrance with orange leaf, lemon, peach, sweet strawberries, summer rose, gardenia blooms and jasmine. Personally I find the scent a little strong but once it has worn in a little bit, I love it. It smells sweet and fresh. The body butter keeps my skin soft and moisturised. I love using it in the winter especially as I find my legs get quite dry wearing tights and boots alot. == Ingredients == Aqua (Water), Butyrospermum parkii (Shea butter), Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Rosa Moschata Seed Oil, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Parfum (Fragrance), Phenoxyethanol, Dipropylene Glycol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Ethylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Potassium Hydroxide, BHT, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Geraniol, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citral, Propylparaben, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Disodium EDTA, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben. == Price and Availability == This is sold in Boots for approximately £10.50 for a 300ml tub. This is often on offer in boots on a 3 for 2 offer. == Summary == Overall I really like this body butter, I look forward to Christmas and my birthday as I know my supplies will be replenished. This lasts me well as a little goes a long way. It leaves my skin feeling nice and soft. A little bit of luxury for every day. Thanks for reading.
Present Indulgence This body butter was a birthday gift. I looked forward to trying out and had high expectations of Soap and Glory, a company that has been in the UK since around 2006, because I had heard good things about them. In this round pot of righteous butter is 300mls of creamy and indulgent body butter which is for softening skin. However, even with the heating on this butter feels cold on your fingertips never mind when you spread it over the rest of your body. For some reason it feels colder to the touch than some of my other lotions and potions. Use by massaging onto damp skin for the best results. Feeling good, smelling good? The cream is semi-thick. It rubs in easily and, thankfully, leaves no greasy residue but I would be quite generous in how much is used to make the body butter go away very quickly! The necessity of using this up quickly will become clear soon. It is more absorbent after a bath or shower. The butter is moisturising and leaves my skin smooth and supple. It is effective on dry areas such as on heels and elbows. Herein ends the good qualities of this body butter. As soon as I opened the pot I experienced an overpowering smell of cheap washing powder and musty roses. Sadly, the smell lingers and seems to get worse as it sits in the now opened jar! I wonder if this smell is the shea butter? I use this on days when I don't have to go out and I know nobody is coming around to see me. It has a price tag greater than Sanctuary Spa, which I find shocking, as this smell does not make it a level contender with a quality market leader. This butter should be in the bargain basement for teenage girls that have a small amount of spending potential. I dislike waste which is why I make myself use this body butter. Award winning The righteous butter won best in beauty for 2012 from Woman&Home. I suspect they had colds on the day they tested this out. If one were to discount the bad smell I could just envision this as an award contender. However, those who oppose chemical parabens cannot be reassured of their absence in this product. Parabens are used to preserve the shelf life of the product and more companies are removing this ingredient due to the potential harm that parabens could have on humans. The ingredients in this product include shea butter, aloe vera and rosehip seed oil. It also has vitamin E in it and this, apparently, is the reason for the coolness of the cream. Here are the ingredients: Aqua (Water), Butyrospermum parkii (Shea butter), Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Rosa Moschata Seed Oil, PEG-100 Stearate, Dimethicone, Parfum (Fragrance), Phenoxyethanol, Dipropylene Glycol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Ethylparaben, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Limonene, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Potassium Hydroxide, BHT, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Geraniol, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Tetrasodium EDTA, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Citral, Propylparaben, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Disodium EDTA, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben. Pricy Present I had not realised that my friend had spent so much on me. Thank you, friend! I've had a look, for the sake of this review, and the body butter seems to be priced at around £10.50 for a 300ml tub. When buying, at this middle range price bracket, I would choose Spa Sanctuary body butter for a treat as that is about a pound cheaper, has a wonderful perfume, and also massages in beautifully. Stars With a blocked up nose the non-greasy, quickly absorbing butter, would get four stars. However, I have not had a cold whilst using this product. The smell is not appealing and is overbearing. Imagine someone gets on the train and you have to turn your head, or hold your nose, to get away from their cheap perfume and you'll understand how I find this scent. I realise that many people love the smell, and maybe I'm an exception to the rule. The butter is full of chemicals including parabens. The price is an 'ouch' factor and not, in my opinion, value for money. I will go against the majority and award this product three stars.
Product: Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Butter Price: £10.50 From: Boots I'm a huge fan of Soap & Glory products, especially their body butters which always seem to smell good enough to eat, yummy. I've tried an extensive range of Soap & Glory products over the years and the one product which I always seem to go back to time and time again is The Righteous Butter Body Butter. Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Butter is priced at £10.50 for 300ml and is available at Boots stores. There is also a travel size of this which is priced at £2.50 for 50ml whilst a 1000ml tub will set you back a whopping £25.00. Personally I find that the 300ml size tub is more than big enough with the product lasting me for at least 6 months or so. The body butter comes packaged in the unique and recognisable Soap & Glory packaging with a retro black and white lady pictured on the containers lid. The tubs base is a lovely hot pink colour with the product logo and product title printed at the front whilst all other relevant information is printed at the back, all print is in Black. The first thing I notice when opening the packaging is the smell of the body butter, the fragrance hits you instantly. The smell is very sweet smelling, it reminds me a little of the smell of a cake mixture, sweet without being too overpowering. The tub is a screw top lid which is simple to open and close. The cream itself is white and sits nicely in the tub having just the right consistency and texture. The cream is extremely easy to apply, it absorbs into my skin well without leaving any residue and leaves it feeling well moisturised and soft and supple. I can still smell the scent of the body butter on my skin hours after applying it, lush. Overall this is one of my favourite body butters, the tub is of a generous size, my skin looks healthy and feels amazing and it's a product which I will continue to use time and time again. Boots often have 3 for 2 offers on their Soap & Glory products so keep your eyes peeled out for those. Dooyoo Stars: 5/5 Stars Rating
My sister is the reason why I am now a huge fan of body butters, I remember I use to see her dressing table full of different types of body butters and it use to leave me wondering what all the fuss is about. Now I know, it is the great combining elements of the texture, fragrance, and lasting moisture that makes it stand out from the just plain moisturising creams. I have a few different branded body butters but one of my favourites is the 'Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Butter'. Upon appearance the butter is a white colour and has a nice luring fragrance that stays on the skin even after applying. The scent is not too overpowering, but instead is a nice soft but feminine floral smell. It has a nice texture and consistency that makes it easy to take out of the small container and easily apply onto the skin without dripping or sliding off the fingers. Most body butters are fairly simple to use, and this is no exception. I find the best results come from applying it after having a shower or bath when the skin is a little damp, as the skin is more absorbent in these conditions. I usually take around a small amount of the body butter and apply it to the damp or dry areas on my body, which are usually the legs, arms and feet. I often seem to have occurrences of dry skin in many areas of my body, and found that this body butter easily absorbs into my skin and keeps my skin looking and feeling soft without leaving it too greasy or oily. The aloe vera and the shea butter elements of this moisturiser has definitely left positive effects on my skin, leaving it moisturised for long periods of time. I can usually instantly feel the cooling and soothing effect as soon as I apply it onto my skin. Texture wise it does appear quite thick, however once applied it seems to absorb into the skin almost instantly. On another positive note, I found that only a little amount of the butter is able to spread across a large area of my skin, meaning the body butter is quite long lasting and good value for money. I purchase Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Butter from my local Boots store at around £10 for a 300ml sized container. Although the price tag is a little more expensive than some of the other branded body butters on the market, however I find that the many positives aspects of this body butter makes it more than worth it in my book. It is easy to apply, instantly absorbs, it leaves skin nice and soft and is nicely fragranced. Therefore I would highly recommend this body butter to everyone :)
I am a big fan of the Soap & Glory products but one of my absolute favourite creations of theirs is the Righteous Butter body butter. I always have a constant supply of the stuff in my cupboards because I don't ever want to run out of the lovely product. What does the product do? The product promises to leave your skin feeling as soft as velvet. It contains Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter to hydrate the skin deeply and to nourish it leaving it in a better condition. It also contains Aloe Vera to calm and soothe the skin as well as Coconut oil to give it a burst of moisture. It contains the Original Pink fragrance which is absolutely and completely delicious. Packaging and Price The product comes contained within a hot pink tub which has some extra information about the product on the label. Other than some writing, there is no decoration on the tub. The lid features a black and white photo of a lady and a strip promising you sinfully soft skin. The product has a screw top lid which makes it easy to access the product and to control the exact amount that you want to use. If you have long nails, the product will get caught underneath them so you need to use a spatula to give your nails clean. Aroma and Consistency The product is fragrance with the Original Pink fragrance which is a fresh and fruity aroma. It has citrus notes of Bergamot as well as the fruity scents of peaches and strawberries. The overall fragrance is one that is both fruity and creamy, and it is by far the most delicious smelling body butter I've found so far. It isn't sweet or sickly but it is still very evident. It has a really thick consistency just as you would expect from a butter. Application and Performance The cream is a pure white colour and it looks so creamy in the pot. The whiteness doesn't translate to the skin so it doesn't make you look pale or lighten the skin. The product is thick but it is still easy to spread over the body and it glides over the skin. As it is so thick, you do need to spend a bit of time massaging it into the skin and if you dress to soon into material like tights then it does leave a little mark. The product doesn't leave a sheen on the skin or make it look or feel greasy. It is completely comfortable on my skin and it doesn't cause any irritations or discomfort. The butter smells completely delicious from the minute you apply it and the aroma lasts for hours on the skin. Frequently other people will comment on the smell, most mistaking it for a perfume, but all being complimentary. The product leaves my skin feeling so soft and silky. It is incredibly smooth and it makes my skin look and feel in a lovely condition. It removes all signs of dry and dull skin and make my skin look much healthy from the very first application. The effects are long lasting and my skin will be very soft all day long. As it is so rich and hydrating, it work well as an after sun product which stops my skin from drying out and peeling. Conclusion All in all, this is the best body butter that I've ever used and I've used a lot! It smells good enough to eat and the aroma lingers on the skin for hours. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and smooth, looking in a better condition and removes all signs of dead and dull skin. I hope they never stop making this because I am well and truly in love with it!
After Christmas I decided to treat myself to some items from the Boots sale, I had heard how good Soap & Glory products are so was on the look out for some at a decent price. I found a set with a washbag and 7 different items for £17.50 which was half price so I thought it would be a great set to let me try some of the products and see which I like. Inside the bag I got a 50ml tub of the body butter which would usually cost £2.50, you can buy a 300ml tub for £10.50 and if you really like the product a litre tub for £25.00 all these are the prices at Boots. The product comes in a bright pink plastic tub with a screw top on it, on the lid there us the name of the product and a picture of a naked woman from behind. The label on the tub states that the product is a very dry skin formula and on the back of the tub there are directions for use and contact details for Soap & Glory cosmetics. The tub seems really strong and I have used the product loads of times and the tub is still in perfect condition. On opening the tub and having a smell the product has a very distinct smell, the smell is really fresh and has a light floral scent to it, if you use Soap & Glory products it's a smell you would recognise straight away but very difficult to describe. The product is white in colour and thick in consistency, the cream goes a long way and a fingertip dipped in the tub id enough to cover half my arm, the cream rubs into the skin really well and is quickly absorbed, the skin is not left damp or greasy which is great. I find that this product leaves my skin feel really nourished and I am really pleased with the product so much so I rate it 5 stars, I will certainly be buying this product again and it has beaten my usual Bodyshop favourite.
~The one and only Righteous Body Butter~ ********************************* The Soap & Glory range offers a cute and quirky group of products including this wonderful thick and creamy feeling body butter that won't break the bank to buy. I have bought and used The Righteous Butter body cream so many times and always find that it works really well. I like the texture of the product as it is nice and thick, yet also very feels light and creamy on the skin at the same time - it also smells divine in my opinion. This mid priced body care product works for me each and every time, because not only does it moisturise my skin when applied lightly, it also smoothes and softens, giving off its very own delectable fragrance for a good number of hours after having been applied. The fragrance given off by this body butter is sweet and girly in my opinion with a blend of peach and jasmine, layered with orange leaf, lemon, strawberries, rose and gardenia making a fragrance that I feel really works. I find that I can use this product along with the matching body scrub from the same range to give my skin that ultimate body care treatment that we all need from time to time. For a combined session of light exfoliation and skin softening the Soap & Glory body scrub and body butter are a great way to treat your skin in my opinion. I find that the body butter is easy to apply to my skin, as it smoothes in well and takes very little time to be fully absorbed. I have never had a bad reaction to this product after having applied it to my skin. The product comes neatly packed in an attractive looking pink plastic pot, showing a set of tongue in cheek instructions for use. I find that the product container looks cute and sassy and is easy to use at the same time, as it is strong and sturdy, easy to open and close and can be stored away without taking up too much room. The price of the product is good in my opinion as a large sized 300ml pot of body butter can be bought for around £10. There are also smaller sized travel pots on sale which last well and these can be bought for around £3 in stores such as Boots. ~Product rating~ ************* I really like this product as it smells great, softens skin with ease and doesn't leave greasy marks on clothing once applied. I feel that the product will appeal to a wide range of age groups as it has a very feminine feel to it. My rating for the product is 5 stars.
I absolutely love Soap and Glory products and one of my favourites from their range is The Righteous Butter. At the moment I just have a little travel tub of the butter but that's good enough for me although it won't really last that long where I am concerned. Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter is described as, "a smooth, creamy, and velvety intense body lotion. With skin softening shea butter and aloe vera to attract moisture, some folks think it's a bit addictive!" The butter comes in the familiar pink Soap and Glory packaging with a screw top lid so it's easy to get into and take a scoop out with your hands. Soap and glory say to use it after a shower on damp skin and it will soak in really easily. I like to do this but I think it's also nice to use on dry skin too during the day as it leaves my skin really smooth and moisturised. The smell is amazing. It's the same smell as all the other Soap and Glory products, that sweet, marshmellowy lovlieness that is different from any other scent I have smelt. Soap and glory list the fragrance as having wonderful aroma's of leafy greens, bergamot and mandarin, with a floral and fruity middle note that makes your nose tingle a little, followed by soft, sexy, musk, oakmoss, amber and woody notes. I think this travel 50ml sized tub probably came in a gift set that I have bought or received in the past. All my family know I love the stuff so I always seem to get gift sets for Christmas and birthdays and have dropped hints again for this Christmas. If you were to buy the 300ml tub it would cost you £10.50 from Boots so a little bit expensive when you compare it to other body butters from different companies but if you love this smell then this is definitely one I recommend.
I love soap and glory products so I was really excited when I received this for my birthday as part of a gift set. Soap and glory products are rather expensive, and although I absolutely love the range I can't always afford to restock upon finishing their products and choose cheaper alternatives. Packaging: the packaging is a delicious pink shade with a sexy and fun logo featuring a vintage photograph of a pin up girl. The tub is easily stored and can be accessed easily enough, but I don't like to constantly dip into the tub encouraging transference of bacteria. I would suggest washing your hands before using the product to eliminate cross contamination :) Application: the body butter feels luxurious on my skin and sinks in instantly. I actually love everything about this product, it smells fantastic, the consistency of the product is smooth and everything about it screams high quality. All day my skin feels moisturised, silky and nourished which is what is promised. I love this product and would recommend it to anyone, it really is the perfect treat for your skin!
