Can you imagine living without soap for a considerable length of time, say, three months? No soap would also mean no shampoo, no washing-powder, no detergent. Impossible? Of course, it isn't, but it wouldn't be life as we know it and think it should be and yet, soap and its siblings have been used in normal people's households only a bit longer than a century. Archaeologists have found soap-like material when working on excavation sites of ancient Babylon which date back to 2800 BC, from inscriptions they've learnt that fat was boiled and mixed with ashes which is the basic recipe for making soap but they couldn't find proof that the substance was used for ... PZ Cussons make a whole range of soaps designed to suit the whole family. I have tried many of these but always come back to their original Imperial Leather bar of soap with the gold, red and white label. Imperial leather products are well known and available all over the world. Joy beauty Soap is a perfumed variety made by Cussons for the West African market. I can't be bothered with that, I don't have a lot of time as I have two boys to sort out as well as myself in the mornings. The last thing I want to do is be working up a lather. Secondly, they sting real bad when they get in your ... Read the complete review

My wife hates soap, but I quite like it. To me, it's an essential part of the cleaning process. A lot of people wash with shower gel these days, but I am a soap man for many reasons: 1) It's hard and tangible I need to take hold of something and use it in its solid shape. I rub the soap inbetween my palms to get a good lather, I rub the soap over my arms to wash them- I USE the soap itself. With gel, it all dissolves and drips into nothing which really drives me mad. 2) It's long lasting Soap lasts for ages! I love the way it's so hard and compacted together that it doesn't dissolve into a sloppy mess. Ironically, the cheaper the soap the ... Read the complete review
