      Advantages

      Disadvantages

good price and does firm slightly

I have been looking for something that would firm my skin as I have dimples on my thighs so wanted something to smooth them out, I looked on review sites for the St Ives other firming products and this one seemed to have good reviews and was a bit cheaper than some as it cost £4.38 from Superdrug I bought it on offer as I got 2 for £5.99 which I thought was a very good price as in some brands it costs that for just one. I think that it smells nice and after about 3week I could see a small change in my thighs I have now been using it for a couple of months and have seen a bit more of a difference in my thighs as they are slightly smoother and do look less dimply which is what I wanted I have to admit I stopped using it every day as i would have liked it to have made a bit more of a difference but none the less it is a good product and is one that I would recommend.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      not for everyone

Whilst doing my weekly shopping in Tesco (this was about 18 months ago) I was looking in the health and beauty part, I was actually looking for my normal brand of firming cream. (I am not overweight but after having children by C Sections I think I have "baggy skin" on my stomach) .

I have only used two bottles of the other brand and probably don't put it on as often as it tells you to.
As I was looking I came across St Ives Swiss Formula skin firming body lotion on offer. It was £1.74 which was half price, a lot cheaper than what I was going to pay. The fact that it says swiss formula made me think that it would be good and even if it didn't work my skin would be well moisturised. (well these kind of things can be all in the mind when you think you look better).

The size of the bottle was 400ml - so the price was definately good.
It says on the front of bottle for all skin types Rosemary & Ginkgo and claims 31% more firmness.
The back of the bottle says discover the swiss secrets for healthy looking, soft, smooth skin.
It claims it captures the secrets of naturally beautiful and healthy looking skin by combining a unique firming complex and swiss botanicals proven to help increase skin's firmness. Apparently it it clinically proven to help restore skin's natural elasticity and firmness in just eight weeks.

The cream itself has quite a pleasant smell and seemed to absorb ok so I squeezed a generous amount into my hand and rubbed it in all over my stomach, it says you can use as often as needed. To me that meant about twice a day but probably once.
I have decided not to tell you the ingredients because that part is boring and if you wanted to buy it you could look yourself.

Well you might be thinking did it work (or maybe not)
I have no idea!!! The first time I used it my skin felt a bit itchy and two spots appeared but I thought I would carry on using it as that might not have anything to do with the cream. So I used it the next day and out came more spots. So rather than a nice firm stomach I got a spotty one hmmmmmmm nice!!!!!!
Needless to say I won't be using this again - maybe it is not suitable for all skin types after all.
