Advantages: Gives you a wonderful glow

Disadvantages: More expensive than most tanning products

I had read about the St Tropez tan being used amongst the rich and famous (Posh spice is meant to be a fan)so I had to try it. I noticed in Space NK (stores in Bluewater, Covent Garden, Bishopsgate) that they were selling the tanning lotion, exfoliator, moisturiser and hand mitt for £42.00 so I decided to go for it. Firstly you need to exfoliate yourself (it says on knees, ankles, elbows etc.) but I did it all over, the exfoliator is very gentle and is a lovely mid blue. Afterwards my skin felt really soft, I then used the moisturiser all over concentrating on my feet and knees and elbows as these areas are known to be dry and therefore will grab hold of the tanning lotion and will go much darker than the rest of your body (not a good look). The tanning lotion is in a pump action bottle so is easy to use, you stroke on the dark lotion making sure you do not massage in and it is brilliant as you can see where you have applied the colour and if you have missed a spot. You then have to wait approx 4 hours before showering the tan off which leaves you with a lovely sunkissed glow. You can however put your clothes on after 15 mins. I am incredibly pale and the tan has just given me a nice glow I don't look mahogoney at all!! The idea behind the St Tropez line is that you can build the tan up, it only tans you to a certain shade however much you use so if you are heavy handed it won't matter, if you want to look browner you just go through the whole routine again. The taning lotion does smell unfortunately of fake tan but there seems to be no getting away from that but I can definately recommend the products. You buy the products online at www.st-tropez.co.uk.

Enjoyed reading your op. St Tropez sounds wonderful. I've been wanting to try it for ages, but I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

I recently bought a bottle of St Tropez and was really excited to use it. In fact I was so excited I didn't exfoliate long enough and I looked a bit patchy the next day. All I can say is that it's a great fake tan but you MUST exfoliate!

Being very pale skinned I have tried many fake tan products and like you had read about St Tropez but never tried it. On the strength of your op, I have just ordered some from their website - we will have to see if I share your views in a week or so. Thanks
