Advantages: pump bottle
Disadvantages: crap
I bought the St Tropez self tanner almost a year ago and still have a large quantity of the product left. This is because I've used it once and probably won't ever again. I bought the product because I'd heard people raving on about how natural the tan looked but it just didn't seem to work for me. I think it's because I'm quite impatient with things like this. Maybe I didn't exfoliate enough before I put on the product or maybe I should've got someone to give me a hand. Whatever, this is a long process and should only be done if you have hours to spare. I applied the product onto my face and body after exfoliating my skin and smouthered myself in brown gunk. It went a patchy brown colour on my skin but I wasn't worried because it's meant to go like that since it's just guide colour and can be washed off after a few hours. I let it dry, went to bed looking like a mad browny person and woke up looking like a totally mad browny person. My family laughing at me didn't help but I went in the shower and the guide colour was being washed down the plug hole. Or so I thought... OK, so I wasn't looking like every shade of brown under the rainbow but it was still patchy and I wasn't impressed. My friends thought it was patchy and I just can't be bothered to try it out again. A tanning cream like Decleor is much better in my opinion! I'd only get it done if someone professional applied it for me in a salon but if anyone still wants a bottle of St Tropez, I have one that is never ever going to be touched again!

- 12/06/02 nice to see someone who isn't afraid to slate the celebs fave! I've seen this in Boots and am tempted to buy some but after reading your op I may just stay with the Nivea! |

- 05/04/02 You should pop over to ebay, you'd probably get twenty quid for that nearly-full bottle! Cheers, kaz |
