Advantages: Doesn't damage your skin like the sun
Disadvantages: smells really bad, very expensive
I have aspirations of being a bronzed Brazilian beach babe, strolling along a beautiful shoreline in my dental floss bikini. Unfortunately, my pasty white complexion wouldn?t look so good in that scenario. But one can dream. So, at least once a week I resort to the little bottle with the squirty top, that sits on my bathroom shelf. I can testify that this brown lotion immediately makes me feel confident and more at ease with my imperfections. Somehow wobbly bits don?t look quite so wobbly when they?re brown? (Maybe this is a mental thing) I personally use the body lotion, rather than the instant mousse. I have tried both and I feel the lotion is much easier to blend and therefore leaves fewer streaks. And I don?t use the exfoliator and moisturiser you can buy with the range. (I use my own, as St Tropez? are so expensive) Time after time I have flawless results, very natural looking. I usually put it on before bedtime and wash it off in the morning. This gives the lotion plenty of time to develop. But you don?t have to wait that long- 4 hours will suffice. The idea behind the tan is that it develops to one shade all over, it may look quite streaky and uneven before you clean the lotion off, but it washes off to reveal a golden glow. This usually lasts around 4 days before going slightly blotchy. Although I find the foam goes blotchy much quicker than the lotion. I also find it leaves my skin silky smooth, and that?s definitely a good thing. A little goes a long way, and the bottle lasts a few weeks with half body application. It also doesn?t smell quite so bad as other fake tans that I have used. But in all honesty it does still stink! The ?Step 3? lotion that I use costs £17 from my local boots store. You can purchase the range at many chemists and make-up counters and also in St.Tropez online Store. Instant Self Tanning Mousse (240 ml) : £26 Bronzing Mist Spray (240 ml) : £26 Body Polish:

- 08/02/04 I had a professional St tropez tan done on my legs last year, but it went blotchy and I hated it. |
