Advantages: protects.
Disadvantages: none
First of all i,m going to give you some tips to stay safe in the sun , if your skin gets burned from the sun it can cause permanant damage and premature ageing .
Everybody needs some exposure to the sun , as its our primary source of vitamin d , and helps us absorb calcium for healthier , stronger bones, but you don,t have to stay in the sun ages for your skin to get the vitamin d it needs as it normally doesn,t take long .
So its not all bad news as long as you look after your skin and protect it with sun lotion.
~ My tips ~
Always apply suncream of at least a factor 15 for adults , and the higher the better for children , 50 is the highest .
Apply it generously and at least 20 minutes before going outside.
Reapply every couple of hours and after swimming .
Have frequent drinks to avoid dehydration, especailly important in babies and children.
And if its a cloudy day don,t be fooled into thinking you don,t need it as uv ( ultra violet ) rays , can travel through the air and reflect off water, sand or even concrete .
Avoid the hottest part of the day in the sun which is normally between 11am to 3pm.
Wear hats, sungalsses and stay in the shade when posssible.
~ The solait range ~
Solait is a suncare range by superdrug, they do a range of differents suncreams and lotions including childrens so i,m sure you will find one to suit your needs .
They have all different factors ranging from factor 8 to 50.
The bottle i had was for sensitive skin so this is what i,m going to base this review on.
~ Solait sensitive ~
I have sensitive skin this is why i chose this product .
~ The price ~
Around 7.50 for a 200ml bottle.
~ The colour and smell ~
Its white and fragrance free
~ Other facts ~
Its been tested by dermatologistsand approved by them.
Water resistant.
This sunlotion contains aquarich, which is an moisturising complex with natural wheat extract, to help promote deep and long lasting skin hydration.
Its got soothing panthenol and anti-oxidant vitamin e to help protect aginst premature ageing.
You can get from factor 8 to factor 50.
~ My opinion ~
I wanted a product which would protect but not irratate my skin as my skin is so sensitive, also i wanted it for my children to use to and they have excema.
I have always bought named brands before but a lot of these haven,t suited my skin , and i know a lot of times own brands can be as good and lower in price too.
The lotion itself was thick and it absorbed into my skin really well too, it has no fragrance and is white.
Even though it is thick, it feels really light on your skin and seems to make skin soft too.
I have been using it for a while now and it really suits my skin and my children have used it too, i try and reapply every few hours if i,m going to be outside .
We haven,t burned while using this so its doing its job and protecting our skin.
I would advise people use it especially if they have sensitive skin.
Thanks for reading x
Summary: great for sensitive skin.
