Advantages: easy to use, no powdery patches, smells nice
Disadvantages: only 14 wipes
Everything is being made into wipes nowadays..... ‘Cif’ Window wipes, ‘No.7’ face moisterisers, ‘Domestos’ bleach wipes so it hasn’t been long for ‘Sure’ to come out with their deodorant wipe! I first saw an advert on TV for this new product, it has a young lady saving the world/boyfriend with a few kung-fu moves and high kicks then afterwards she changes, wipes herself with a deo wipe and is fresh and clean to meet her boyfriend at a ball (with pink hair). Hmmmm, they have to doo something about those adverts for a start, otherwise it’ll turn out like one of the ‘waaaaah bodyforrrmm - bodyform for yoouuuu! debacles. They come in a resealable pack of 14 wipes and I’ve only seen it in ‘oxygen’, but I use this flavour anyway, it has a nice, light almost 'just ironed' smell. They are reasonably large, enough to cover my great big puddies, and they say it’s to refresh and deodorise in one step, and it does - pretty much. They’re for us smelly blighters who go to the gym every morning and can’t be bothered to have a shower before going on to work. Or for us to take on holiday, and refresh during the day. They don’t leave the white powdery patches under your arms (or anywhere else for that matter) like a lot of deodorants have done, and it doesn’t seem to cause me any irritation. I'd say that they last about 4 hours before needing a top up, or re-wipe! Even though I haven’t been completely converted, I’ll buy them every now and again for my days out and for £1.33 in Superdrug (1/3 off at the moment) they’re worth taking on holiday with you, especially during camping holidays. Just don’t use them on your private bits, well that’s what they say!

- 01/06/01 Doesn't it say on the pack for use 'All over the body' - I haven't read the small print mind you. Yeah, they are great, but I think they smell a bit of toilet cleaner. Nice and refreshing though. I bought the Dove ones too which are also £1.33 in S'drug but I've not tried them yet. |

- 24/05/01 I wondered if these actually worked as deoderant. i must admit I was a bit sceptical. However, after reading your op I think I will invest in a pack to take on holiday. They could come in very useful! |
