Advantages: Well priced, a good product for some people apparently

Disadvantages: Made both me and my girlfriend itch till we stopped using it!

My opinion of Sure Ultra Dry 24hr Intensive Anti-Perspirant Spray Deodorant

After a recommendation from a friend of ours, my girlfriend bought a can of Sure Ultra Dry during on one of our weekly trips to the supermarket. It was a lot cheaper than the deodorant she'd been using, and it seemed like a really good buy.

It says all the right things on the can; Anti-Perspirant, Deodorant, 24 hour protection, and so on... which was just what my girlfriend was looking for, to use when she attends her bi-weekly exercise classes.

What it fails to mention on the can is that some people have a reaction to it... My girlfriend started to complain of irritation/ itching a few hours after first using Sure Ultra Dry.

After a few days use she'd had to stop using it completely (the side effects weren't terrible, there were no unsightly rashes or anything, but she was itching all the time).

We were a little confused at first - and suspected that perhaps the deodorant was reacting with soap, or bubble bath etc that my girlfriend had been using...

...we thought this because, our mutual friend who also uses Sure Ultra Dry, swears by it, and has never experienced any problems with it -in fact it's her favourite anti perspirant and deodorant.

So I tried it myself and sure enough I felt a little bit 'itchy' too -though I have to say, my discomfort was nowhere near as bad as my girlfriends had been.

Now I don't know if it's relevant that we are a both fair haired, where as our friend is very dark haired (might have nothing to do with it -but we're clutching at straws here -lol!!) -and we both have sensitive skin and sunburn very easily...

So I can't hep but wonder if there's some chemical in Sure's Ultra Dry Intensive Anti-Perspirant Spray that doesn't always agree with fair haired/ sensitive skin types...

So I'm certainly not saying this is a bad product, I know from our friend that it can be very good, but I am suggesting that if you're fair haired or have sensitive skin -you might want to try it once before you buy (if you know someone who uses it), or perhaps stick with the deodorant/ anti-perspirant brands that you know work ok for you... That's what my girlfriend had to do.

Hope you found my review of some help, and good luck with your bargain hunting!!

Best wishes,
Brett

Summary: Not that it's a bad product -but not one to use if you have sensitie skin, methinks!

Have you since checked with the manufacturer as to whether there is a possible reaction for people with fair hair?

There may be an issue that they already know about.
