Advantages: nice packaging
Disadvantages: smell awful & gave me poor results
I have auburn hair & my skin is quite pale so I have tendency to go red in the strong sunshine & prefer to use tanning products rather than damage my skin.
I've tried dozens of fale tan products over the years with varying reslults but this Tantowel product I'd definitely never use again.
I made the big mistake of buying these towelettes in bulk from ebay from a supplier who was selling her business & thought I'd got a really good deal as the larger size (15ml) can sell for up to £4 each. They are also available in a smaller size for around £1.
The packaging is smart - silver foil vacuum-sealed - easy to tear open & easy enough to use - but, oh dear - the smell is awful!
It actually says on clear print on the front that the product is odourless but it smells of the worst fake tan you can imagine plus, to me, there's a smell of something which resembles ammonia?
Having bought them though,I just had to use them & everyone in the family asked,'what's that stink?'
The towel are a good size & are easy to use. You just need to exfoliate & moisturise the skin then smoothe the towel gently wherever you want colour.
It's difficult to see where you've put the tan as it is colourless so I found that some parts of my legs were whiter than others - but, to be fair, this could be said of all colourless fake tan products.
It says 'no streaking' but I found, after the colour started to show through, that there were loads of streaks - I'm not a novice at using tanning products & although I followed the instructions & was careful in applying it, it gave streaky results.
The colour wasn't brilliant either - on a paint chart I'd say it leaned more towards the orange shade rather than the brown.
It took around 3 hours for the colour to develop & although I washed my hands very well 2 or 3 times the palms of my hands showed I'd been using it!
To be fair though I have read mixed reviews on these Tantowels so they seem to work for some people who've rated it quite highly. I'm a firm believer that people's skin types don't react well to certain tanning products so maybe it's just my skin?!
There's no ignoring the smell though - they are definitely NOT odourless!
summary
~
- comparatively cheap.
- easy to use.
- they smell bad.
- I had streaking though it says 'non-streak'
- personally I can't recommend these Tantowels.
Summary: can't recommend these Tantowels I'm afraid
