Advantages: deeply moisturising
Disadvantages: makes the bath slippery, expensive, Just gone up in price
te tao body smoother scrub comes in a large 750g airtight jar. Inside is a massive amount of oily salt. Doesn't sound too appealing, but it is very good for your skin, and smells lovely and "green" with a fresh flowery/herby aroma. The green coloured concoction is mostly comprised of: sea salt, greater burnet (herb) the chinese herb schizandra (toning and soothing to the skin), sesame, almond and evening primrose oils (these really soften your skin and make your legs shine!), and the herb melilot, which reduces swelling, varicose veins and is calming in general. I use this scrub in the shower, and it really helps to stand away from the water so that you can get a really good scrub before rinsing, which also gives the oils time to absorb into the skin. It is very oily and slips off very easily while you apply it. Use generously! Problems: the oiliness makes the bath/shower very slippery, so beware!, the scrub falls through your fingers easily when you rub it on, the jar it comes in is a bit bulky and the lid is fiddly. It's one of those sealing ones with the rubber seal thing, which has fallen off and won't go back as it was before :( the metal on the catch of the jar does rust eventually too, because you need to keep it close to hand while bathing. Also I wouldn't advise allowing water to fall into the jar, as this makes the whole thing even more difficult to apply - it will slide off your skin all the more. It is a bit expensive, £8.35, and has to be used generously. So, not great value for money but an interesting product. I only buy it when it's on offer. Some people may find the perfume is a little strong.

- 14/12/01 yep, if you get headachy with perfumes - I got the feeling this might be one to be careful of. |

- 13/12/01 Sounds worth a try, quite like having shiny legs! Only thing that puts me off is that you mention a strong perfume - Kay |
