When it comes to finding a good body lotion I am on a quest. I love the concept of gorgeous smelling, soft skin but lets face it ladies it's December and who wants all the messing about with ourselves in this freezing cold weather?!
However it is the party season and time to show off our skins and when I was going out Christmas Eve my winter skin not only looked pale and washed out but looked a bit dull and scaly too. I needed a remedy quick smart so I went under my bed where all my 'posh' goodies are kept for special occasions and I found this lotion which I'd forgotten I purchased last month along with the matching body spray and shower gel so a pampering session I really had!
SO I found this product in Boots priced at £4.99 a bottle. I haven't seen it anywhere else to buy apart from there and online. Do look around it on special offer though! I've seen the price as low as a couple of quid online for this one in discount stores!
300ml opaque, white recyclable squarish bottle with a flip top lid situated at the top concealing a small hole of which the product is of course dispensed out of. On the front there is a really faint pattern in light pink of leaves and in yellow a sort of pattern I can't describe is on the top. Under that written in white in a red box I'm told it is Ted Baker, London and under that in yellow I'm told it's Bodywear For Women and again there is a small yellow pattern decorating it. Under that in red and yellow writing I'm Told it's LimiTEDition Body Lotion. On the back of the bottle all in red writing I'm given diagrams on how to use it, told a bit about the product, then given proper directions for use, ingredients are listed, contact details for Ted Baker are given, I'm told it's only tested on humans, size is stated (as I've listed already, the recycle symbol is on there and finally there is a bar-code. It's nice enough packaging suitable for any woman in my view but modern and not all that posh!
A Bit About The Product (According To The Back Of The Bottle)....
Wear with pride: Take care of the skin you were born in with Ted Baker's Bodywear range. This Limited Edition Body Lotion has a sensuous sparkling feminine fragrance with note of Grapefruit, Indian Jasmine Sambac, Rich Sandalwood and Amber. Use daily to keep you feeling soft, smooth and moisturised all over. Made In Heaven.
Directions For Use....
Apply a generous amount morning and evening (or whenever you feel like it), ideally after showering or bathing. Massage into skin and allow to completely dry before getting dressed (or slipping between the sheets). Carefully does it: avoid direct contact with eyes. If product gets into eyes, immediately rinse well with clean water.
Well it's a pleasure to use this product it really is. Firstly lets talk fragrance. Unisex smalling in my book and entirely modern. It does has an air of femininity about it once you get used to it and I agree it's for women but it just has a slight sort of aftershave whiff about it and like I say at first few uses I was convinced men or women could use this. However it isn't it is girly lol Unusual in smell it's highly fragrant in a well blended manner. Yes I can smell sandalwood and I think I can smell a hint of jasmine in there but really it's just lovely and has a creaminess and sweetness to the smell which is really sophisticated. Once this fragrance is on the skin it will last all day long so the only hint I will give here is to wear this with other Ted Baker products from within this range or choose really carefully what other products you use because this fragrance takes over completely making it suitable for summer wear (on it's own) or for bed ahem lol
Using it really is easy and fuss free. Tip the bottle slightly and squirt a bit of the white lotion into your hands. It comes out easily and although it is a lotion really isn't sloppy and a pain in ass to deal with. I use it bit by bit coating my body.
The lotion itself is none greasy and actually you can feel a hydrating water content within in. It smooths, blends and sinks in quick smart leaving a none greasy or heavy feel on the skin. It's none sticky and none drying out and simply is a joy to use on every level and you smell amazing.
Not only are left with smelling gorgeous, skin feels naturally smooth, clean and fresh. I can get dressed a couple of minutes after applying this and my skin is not only noticeably looking fresher and brighter it feels really nice too.
I really love this product and will re purchase it. It isn't so much of a dry skin buster as it does it gently but it is a none skin irritating fragrance that gently hydrates a little and doesn't upset my greasy sections of skin and I can slap it on as often as I choose to without a horrid crumbly build up.
Suitable for any woman who does like her powerful fragrances. Love it!
