... product for the first time, I noticed straight away that this was that little bit thinner than brand name hand soaps such as Carex. But it was only marginally thinner, and the consistency is thick enough to be acceptable. This lathers up nicely and quickly when you use it under running water, and it gives off a pleasant, clean scent while in use. Afterwards, I like that it leaves my hands nice and clean, with a firm but mild smell of cleanliness on them. I'm quite critical of handwashes and soaps that dry skin out, ...more

Tesco Antibacterial Handwash costs 78p for a pump action 500ml bottle, or 53p for a 500ml refil. It's on Dooyoo and on the Tesco website in a rectangular bottle, but I actually picked this up in a cylindrical bottle the other day in store. It's the same product and was about the same price, it's just perhaps a new style packaging that they're trying out. So look out for both types if you go hunting in store for this product. I do like my Lush soaps and I tend to keep one in the kitchen for getting that rubber glove smell of my hands when I've just washed up, but I also keep an anti-bacterial hand wash for when I'm cooking because I'm very paranoid about giving myself food poisoning! At the moment I'm using Tesco's moisturising antibacterial hand wash which I bought for two reasons. Firstly it was cheap, secondly I have dry skin and liked the fact that this one said it was moisturising. The hand wash comes in a clear bottle with a blue pump action dispenser like the one pictured above. The bottle, if I'm honest isn't very inspiring, but still this is a cheap product so I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Moisturising Antibacterial Handwash: Bye bye bacteria. (604 words)

The liquid soap in the kitchen was nearly finished so I was looking in Tesco for a bargain and spotted the Moisturising Antibacterial Hand wash which is also soothing. *What is it like?* The bottle is opaque and so it is easy to see how much liquid is left, it is a fairly squat bottle with a pale lilac plunger and similar colour label, with writing in navy and white. It contains 250mls and cost about 69p. The writing on the back of the bottle is in quite small print in navy against the purple liquid so difficult to read unfortunately, but as the front said it was odour neutralising and had lavender extract I decided to try it. I am constantly trying to drum into my kids the importance of washing their hands regularly and I am also a great believer that when washing your hands it should almost always be with an anti-bacterial hand wash that comes from a pump dispenser. When you wash your hands with a bar of soap you are firstly getting the germs left on it from the person before and when using a non anti-bacterial wash you may be getting your hands clean to look at but the germs are very much still there. You pick up germs on your hands continuously throughout the day and it is not really how often you wash your hands but when, for instance after typing this I will have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Moisturising Antibacterial Handwash: Cheap and cheerful (294 words)

As a mother I have always found it extremely important to keep hand wash and soap handy in the house as you never know what can be brought in. I have always brought hand wash but I have always thought they are a bit expensive for what they are. I use to pay just over £2 for mine but while I was going around Tescos a while ago I noticed one for only 50p. I immediately thought it would be rubbish but I was actually quite surprised. The annoying thing was when I brought it home I couldn't actually get it to work! It only uses a simple nozzle, push and it comes out you would think. Well it took ages for it to finally work; I think something to do with the ...  Read the complete review
