Advantages: do the job

Disadvantages: only work if you get the technique!

I very rarely use wax strips, I find them messy and really difficult to use. I was going to get my legs waxed at a beauty salon before my holiday, but when the day came I missed my appointment, and so decided to just buy some and do it myself seen as I had left my legs unshaved for a few weeks preparing for it!

You have to make sure your hairs are at least a few mm long for it to work. They are quite simple to use, but its best to make sure the wax is slightly warm, room temperature first or they dont work as well.

You put them on, I find I like to leave for a few seconds and rub down to make sure it has got all the hairs. you then grab the end at the bottom and pull in one quick motion. If you do it too slowly though it doesnt work, or sometimes it pulls the hairs in two, leaving some very short stubble behind! You really have to get the technique right!

Well these were no different from any others I have used - if you use them right they work, but its quite difficult first time trying! The first one i did didnt really work and I had to do it over a few times to get best results.

All the hairs did come out in the end, and my legs felt quite smooth afterwards, and were only a little sore. Waxing always hurts a bit, anything that says its pain free isn't true, but obviously some wax hurts less than others, and as far as pain goes these were on the good side!

You do need to moisturise after, this usually helps take away the red ness too.

I wouldnt buy again, just because they are tricky and messy to use. But as far as wax strips go, they are cheaper than others and ok!

Summary: just your average wax strips!
