10p Shower gel !!! (Tesco Value Shower Gel)

Advantages: its 10p for 300mls and a nice blue colour

Disadvantages: gloopy cold jelly (cold to apply)

For 10p for a 300ml bottle of Shower Gel, I bought this more for the curiosity factor- how can they sell something so cheaply? how bad or good can it be? Will I have stumbled on a right bargain or will I experience "bad shower gel" (I wasn't sure how I would know it was "Bad shower gel" or how you would quantify this) so I decided to give it a try.

The shower gel is bright blue and smells like... well it smells like shower gel. I can't describe it any other way. Its shower gel which gloops out of the bottle into a jelly like mass on your hand. It does what it is supposed to - it cleans. It doesn't lather, moisturise, exfoliate, self tan, sing dance or prompt any rubber duckie in your shower to get its groove on, or anything else but it doesn't promise to do any of these things.

The information on the label is as vague and basic as the product- "to help leave your skin feeling clean and fresh". Well, my skin feels like i've used shower gel. But that's as far as it goes. There is no post-use glimmer, no extra moisture locked in, no frills.

It is just shower gel. Full stop. Good if all you are looking for is something to clean your skin in general and make no other promises. For 10p, its worth buying just for the novelty "I bought a shower gel for 10p" factor. And they even throw in a picture on the label of some water!
