Premium Review Tesco Value Shower Gel: tesco value shower gel (244 words)
by - written on 30/11/09 (Very useful, 10 readings)
Rating:

Well at 10p tesco value shower gel certainly passes the cheap test! The packaging is fine all this considered (the standard blue value stripes, no eyecatching design - basic no frills) and you shouldn't expect anything fancier. The quality of the product itself though is somewhat debateable - the shower gel has the consistency of sloppy ...  Read the complete review

I have been trying a lot of the Tesco Value and Sainsbury's Basics products recently, as part of my attempts to save money on the household shopping. This Tesco Value Shower Gel is a product that I have bought a couple of times over the last few months. It is packaged in a plain bottle, with the Tesco Value logo on the front. It looks quite plain, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Shower Gel: Cheap and does the basics: just don't expect a lather of ros ... (335 words)
by - written on 15/09/09 (Very useful, 38 readings)

At 10p for 300ml of shower gel, you can't really expect much of this shower gel. This is just as well, because it just does the basics, and not a lot more. I don't go in for fancy shower gels, with fragrance this and fragrance that. The only thing I do consider is the fact that my eczema sometimes flares up if I use a particular ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cheap in every way (278 words)

Having used several different types of shower gels, some expensive, some cheap I have to say I was not very impressed with this product and will not be purchasing it again in the future. The Shower Gel comes in a 300ml quantity, for the price of 10p. It smells of any other generic shower gel, but no particular scent has been placed into ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Shower Gel: TIP: Use it as Handwash! (181 words)
by - written on 12/09/09 (Somewhat useful, 19 readings)

Well, its not pretty, and its not going to impress the ladies/ blokes, but it does the job and it gets you clean. As with all the Tesco Value branded stuff, the packaging is plain and bordering on the ugly (when will Tesco realise they need to re-design their Value labels - they look awful compared to other companies'). This shower gel ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Decent shower gel for only 10p! (707 words)

I have been looking at this Value Shower Gel in Tesco for some time now, but it was only last week that I decided to bite the bullet and buy a bottle - in all honesty I was thinking it would probably be appalling but at least I could use it for cleaning the slabs in my back garden! At just 10p for a 300ml bottle I had to try it as the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Shower Gel: A great alternative for travelling (445 words)
by - written on 08/08/09 (Very useful, 49 readings)

When it comes to grooming and body care, I usually only want premium brands, at least those that are known quite well. The reason for this is because of the quality that is associated with the brand, furthermore the way in which the adverts portray them, it is more of a lifestyle rather than just a shampoo or hair conditioner. However, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review 10p Shower gel !!! (276 words)
by - written on 03/08/09 (Very useful, 17 readings)

For 10p for a 300ml bottle of Shower Gel, I bought this more for the curiosity factor- how can they sell something so cheaply? how bad or good can it be? Will I have stumbled on a right bargain or will I experience "bad shower gel" (I wasn't sure how I would know it was "Bad shower gel" or how you would quantify this) so I ...  Read the complete review

I have been checking out a lot of the value products here on dooyoo as I am trying to cut costs since my partner lost his job in March money is very tight. I used to buy a couple of the value products including the toilet roll, eggs, bin bags and washing up pads before hand but now I am value all the way when and where I can (without compromising ...  Read the complete review

We have just spent a weekend visiting my sister and her partner and whilst we were there we had a conversation about shopping which included the Tesco Value range. We were all agreeing that most of the products in the range were very good but a few, such as Cola, were to be avoided. My sister's partner told us that he bought Tesco Value Shower Gel ...  Read the complete review

I bought this product when we had loads of my boyfriends mates staying for the weekend and i didn't want them using my more expensive shower gels. I didn't get any complaints from them although i tried it and i was surprised as i thought it would be a lot worse than it actually was. It smells, well just like soap so nothing special and it does ...  Read the complete review

This gel was gross. It looked okay, a nice blue, and not too scented, BUT, washing with it is like covering yourself in snot. Doesnt lather very well AT all.

I came across this stuff by accident and now use it all the time. First, I like the no-nonsense packaging. No outrageous claims or scientific gobbledygook; no ridiculous shaped bottle and a lable that tells you exactly what you're buying. The other thing I like is that it is not excessively scented and leaves you smelling clean, but not, as my old ...  Read the complete review

I'm always on the look out for ways to save a few pennies, toileteries is not one of the items I normally scrimp on as my credit card statement will tell you I spent £32 on my latest trip to Lush on nice smelly goodies but when I saw the Tesco Value shower gel for just 10p I thought it was worth a try. For your 10p you get 300ml of ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review 10p for 300ml? How on earth? (360 words)
by - written on 13/04/09 (Very useful, 82 readings)

I bought this for my boyfriend to stop him using my lovely Lush soap. I spoil him don't I? Cost: It was 29p for 300ml when I bought it and I see it is now even cheaper at 10p for 300ml. Unbelievable. Appearance: No nonsense plastic bottle with red white and blue label. Looks cheap because it is cheap. The gel itself ...  Read the complete review
