Advantages: cheap - and it works

After reading a mixed set of reviews on here I thought I would try it myself I don't use that much soap preferring hand wash and shower gel but at 13p for 3 bars what have I got to lose?

You get 3 bars of white soap at 125g each wrapped in cellophane wrapper for 13p (12/7/09).

Before you even open the packet you can smell the soap. It is not unpleasant but just a distinguished scent that always reminds me of the liquid soap that you always seem to get in public toilets and bars. The actual bar does not smell as strong as the packet.

When using the soap it lathers up quite well which I was surprised at although it did feel a little stickier and thicker than other soaps but overall quite a pleasant experience.

It cleaned my hands well and didn't cause any irritation, which is good as I have quite sensitive skin.

Fortunately after rinsing my hands there is a barely there 'clean' smell because I don't want to smell like the public loos all day!

The value range is shunned due to its packaging and reputation but this soap is just fine. Once you take it out of the pack no one would know, as it is just a bar of white soap.

For the time being it is going to take the place of my hand wash on the side of the sink, as I have got them I may as well use them.

Overall I am very impressed as I had low expectations of the soap and found that it worked well, didn't harm me and the smell was ok and didn't linger too long. What do we really want from a bar of soap it is meant to clean you and it does with no adverse effects.

4/5 as it exceeds expectations - does what it should and is extreemly cheap!

Summary: a bar of soap for less than 5p
