Advantages: Creates a lovely shimmered effect while still moisturising the skin and making it smell delicious.
Disadvantages: Nothing.
Despite discussing not buying presents each year when Christmas comes around, my friends and I always seem to end up purchasing Christmas gifts for each other. We always say how we'd much rather save the money and have a big night out, which always ends up happening and then everyone regretting it the next morning, yet we still seem to end up exchanging gifts just before Christmas too. This year I decided I wasn't going to go wild and thought I'd get everyone a little gift bag of treats rather than spending ages deciding what presents to get them all individually. I ended up in Marks and Spencer looking for one more item to finish off each of the gift bags...
After browsing the various ranges on offer I noticed Tess Daly's range of beauty products that were all on offer at just half price, reduced from £9.50 to just £4.75 each which was really quite a bargain in my eyes! This seemed too good of an offer to simply pass by and I ended up purchasing about eight pots of Tess Daly's Body Glow. Each pot had a clear base and a shiny gold lid, they were then contained in a bright fuchsia box which was certainly eye catching! The overall appearance was quite modern and sleek looking, it certainly befitted a celebrity range of beauty products!
The actual product is a light gold in colour and it smells absolutely delicious! It's got quite a strong perfumed scent to it which reminds me of sweet smelling flowers and the scent I associate with being on a summer holiday too. It's a mixture between a body lotion and a body butter in terms of consistency and it glides onto my skin really smoothly (just in case you think I tested the products before giving it to my friends I actually decided that I better buy one for my own collection so I wasn't left out)! It's quick to soak in as it takes about thirty seconds to be completely absorbed.
It's advertised as being a "high shimmer body moisturiser" which will leave your skin looking radiant while feeling soft. I can certainly support these claims as after application my skin feelings silky soft and has a real shimmer to it, almost like there are hundreds of tiny pieces of gold glitter sparkling on it. The effect is really quite subtle, you won't look like a glittering bauble but I have had comments made on how my skin seems to shimmer when under a light while wearing this. The gorgeous scent also lasts well and it usually still noticeable on my skin at the end of a night out too.
After I'd put a Body Glow in each of my gift bags I was luckily left with two for myself and, after using this on a couple of nights out, quickly invested in another two while they were on offer! I would say that £9.50 is quite expensive for what is, essentially, a body moisturiser that gives a shimmer effect, but at £4.75 for 200ml it's an absolute bargain! I tend to only use this for nights out and apply it to my arms, chest area and shoulders although I'd use it on my legs in the summer as well. I presume it's gone back up to full price now but if you fancy shimmering then get this!
Thanks for reading.
