I have mentioned in reviews that I have posted in the past of how when I have been fortunate to go to a spa that I have taken advantage of the lovely products that you can purchase on the day at a reduced price. I do enjoy the Spa days that I go on with my friend, we always treat ourselves to a product, this tends to be one that we have had used on us in a treatment and the product that I am going to be reviewing today is my Thalgo Intensive body nutrition Body cream. I was treated to a facial and then after exfoliating my arms as well, this product was applied. I wanted to try it at home, a spa from my own bathroom if you like and so here are my thoughts on the product.


The Thalgo range of products is one that I have only just become introduced to. It was always Elemis and Clarins that tended to be the products that were used but now there has been the introduction of the Thalgo products at my local Spa. The body cream at full price will cost about £39.00 which I think is rather expensive for a body cream, no matter how good it is, especially in a marketplace where there are many more creams available. I was able to have this for a reduced price, in fact half so the price was far more acceptable to me. The Thalgo brand is not one that I have ever spotted in the shops, I have only ever seen it at the Spa but I know after researching that you can buy it online from either the Thalgo websites or Salon Skin Care, Feel Unique or even Amazon now stock it.


The body cream is one that comes in a round pot. The base that contains the cream is white and then there is a blue lid, I cant not say that the design is anything that special, it is quite plain really and I guess you would expect something a little more considering the price tag. It is quite clinical looking though, almost plain really. There is writting on the pot of th eproduct, there is the Thalgo logo in blue writing as well as the name of the cream on the front and then on the reverse of the cream is all the information on the cream such as a list of the ingredietns that have been used as well as directions for use and further information.


We are told by the Thalgo brand that this will 'moisturise skin, as well as treating dry skin. Thalgo also describe this as a rich body moisturiser that is highly effective when treating extremely dry skin. it features Mirual Algee to restore moisture balance and Vitamin e to heel and soften'. thalgo tell us that we can use this over our entire body to help make skin fele amazing. You just need to remove the lid and start using this.


The body cream is quite thick but it goes on well and is not at all greasy, I thought that there would be a strong smell but other than this being fresh and slightly marine and sea like smelling, it was not that strong. I think that it could be stronger but that is just my personal opinion. What I do like is that it sinks in and absorbs easily and then the end result is that it leaves skin feeling really soft and more subtle. It is great to use after a shower and put all over the body and I like that you are left with really moisture skin.


Whilst I am happy to recommend this I don't think that the price tag can be justified, this is a great product but it doesn't do anything that special for me.
