Advantages: The smell
Disadvantages: None!!! How can yet another delish product such a this have any disadvantages!!
Imagine my glee, if you will when I saw Cola Bath Bubbles at The Body Shop, whilst scouring the shelves in order to get the best value and the most products from my Christmas gift vouchers! I am definitely the kind of gal who likes to get real value for money, who isn’t? I can’t see me ever spending an obscene amount of money on so-called ‘designer’ products. I know the old adage of ‘you gets what you pays for’ is relevant at times but I seriously think I would have hell an’ all job putting it into practice. Give me an honest to goodness bargain any day of the week! Even more so when, 1.You aren’t paying for it with ‘real’ money. 2.It’s half price in the sale! Waahaay!! This 250ml bottle of Cola bubbles was among seven items that I purchased for the aforementioned shop for the paltry sum of £12 in the January sales. I believe it retails for about £4 normally. I have to say here that I do think the Body Shop products on the whole are a touch on the dear side. Similar items can be bought at other town centre shops at lower prices, but there is something alluring about The Body Shop that draws you into its pampering, indulgent depths! Thank heavens for my purse then that we do not have a Lush shop nearby! Anyway, I’m doing the usual here and going right off track, on with this tasty op! It’s a bit difficult to know what to say about another bubble bath product though. I mean you pour it under running water as directed, watch the foaming mass threaten to engulf you and your matchbox of a bathroom and then step in. Lie back, relax and think of Englan...oops wrong subject! ;o) Basically I did follow the above instructions and was a touch amazed at the amount of bubbles it produced! As you might have gathered from other bath product ops that I have penned, I am not too fond of too many bubbles in my bat
h, they always end up cold around my neck. So why might you wonder did I buy this in the first place? Because it was in the sale that’s why! Come now..tis feminine logic! Luckily for me by the time I got to step in the bath some of the froth had dispersed and I was left with enough to not bother me too much and was able to skim the bubbles away from my neck end of my bath! The smell is divine, just how you would imagine it! Cola’ey! More so when you sniff the product straight from the bottle. In fact I would say that it is a might overpowering done that way. It reminds me of those cheaper bottles of Cola that you can buy. The smell is diluted, can you dilute a smell? once it is mixed with the water and you are left with a faint Cola whiff, not at all unpleasant. The bubbles seemed to last a reasonable amount of time too. In the bottle the liquid is a pretty purple colour, which too is reduced once it is mixed with the bath water. It says on the side of the bottle that it is a skin cleanser, with a coconut oil based cleanser in it and that it is also quite suitable to used as a shampoo also. I can’t comment on that, as I didn’t try it. I am far too protective about my crowing glory to subject it to a product that ‘does it all’ preferring to use my specially formulated hair care products for that. I guess it would be great here to use on kiddies hair? It also says on the bottle that it, ..” creates mountains of bubbles” and to …” pour under running water..then jump in!” I wouldn’t advise the latter, especially if you have a relatively small bathroom such as ours, and a very full bath! Mind you, imagine the aroma of the floors for days afterwards if you have to mop them up with this! Sure would beat Pine Flash! And no annoying Karl Howman to drum into you that,” Flash does the hard work so you
…” Aagghh!! It is suitable for all skin types, mine is on the dry side (when I’m not in the bath that is!) and it hasn’t irritated me, nor left me unduly parched. Obviously there is the usual warning about not ingesting this product on the side of the bottle. Extremely important if you have youngsters, bearing in mind what I said about the strong smell of it earlier. There is the usual extensive list of all the ingredients on the bottle. I don’t know about you but I don’t really care for statistics on products that I am not going to eat so I wont bore you with all that here. Suffice to say the usual statement about The Body Shop being Against Animal testing is there also. So what did I really think of it? Ah ha yes, the real opinion at long last! Well..I liked it! But then you know me, always game for a gimmick, and this is indeed one, as are the strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, lavender and marmalade bath products all lined up on my heaving bathroom shelves! ;o) Now…. the final question is……Do they do this cola product in a diet version? And…if they do, do you think that a months worth of baths would lose me another stone?.,... Hmmmmm………. Kazzie ;o) XX
