Advantages: smells nice, works well and moisturises for hours

Disadvantages: you could become compelled to eat it instead !

I recently booked a body shop party and as a reward I got a 48g pot of Almond Body Butter…. I have forgotten how lovely this stuff is!!!! I first discovered almond body butter when I was staying at a friend's house - we were off out to a Take That concert (please don't judge me on my music taste!!!)…. I had recently come back from holiday and my tan had very inconsiderately decided to start to peel off!!! Well you can imagine my panic - I am trying to look all nice (well you never know if you will bump into the members of the band - need to look good just in case!!!!). How attractive I would look in a slinky black top and flacky arms!!! Ummmm how attractive I am!...

So as desperate measures - I was slapping on any moisturiser I could find, but noting was working…. Sure it cleared my arms up for a few minutes then the flakiness would return…. What on earth am I going to do???? That's when my friend offers me her almond body butter!!!! I applied some of this, not a lot was needed and low and behold the flakiness disappeared and stayed away…. Now it did finally reappear but not for a good few hours after the concert had finished….

When I received this free sample it reminded me of how good it was… and I thought that I should really tell you about it… This product can be purchased in any body shop or at any body shop party - or indeed on line at http://www.uk.thebodyshop.com/page/home.
The Almond body butter is just one product from the Almond range, they also do body scrub, body lotion, soap and shower gel. This product comes in 200ml pots and can be purchased for £12. The pot is round and of a beige colour with a sticker on the top that has pictures of almonds with the body shop symbol in the middle. This product is for normal to dry skin and obviously is not suitable for those with nut allergies!

For those of you that don't know the body shop was 'founded in the UK in 1976 by Dame Anita Roddick, they have over 2,100 stores in 55 countries, with a range of over 1,200 products, all animal cruelty free, and many with fairly traded natural ingredients' - information taken from the body shop website.

Anyway back to the product … when you open the screw top there is a faint sweet smell of almonds… moving the pot closer to my nose the scent gets stronger but not overpowering - OH MY GOD I really think I could just stick my finger in to the thick, smooth and silky cream and eat it - it smells soooooo edible! (I would not recommend it though I am sure it won't taste as nice!)… The cream is an off white colour with an almost beige tinge….

The cream is firm but soft and a little goes a long way….it rubs into the skin quickly and is really velvety and moisturising. It soaks in well and does not become sticky and is not greasy.. and the best bit is that it left my skin shiny, smooth and hydrated… The combination of almond oil, shea butter and cocoa butter is what makes this work and smell so well…

Hang on just got to have another good sniff of this product- ahh that is sooooo nice… I really would not leave it around children as you may find them sticking their fingers into it!!

The product leaves your skin moisturised for hours, it leaves your skin with a soft fragrance of almonds… not too overpowering though!

For £12 I think this is a really good buy as it will last ages, as you only need a little bit to cover a large area.. I used a finger tip size of cream which easily moisturised my hands and arms to the elbow! That's not bad hey!

I would highly recommend having a try of this product - you can go in the shop or have a party at home and try before you buy… that way you can really see if its for you!

Summary: very effective, beautifully moisturising and wonderfully smelling
