Advantages: Smells great, rich moisturiser

Disadvantages: Price, too thick for face

Hands up, I am a sod for buying products and not using them. For buying into the idea of maintaining a regime and floundering about a week into it. Only with these recent hot, summery days I am finding the legs are getting frequent attention from a razor and in my negligance, my shoulders are crispy and peeling and my legs dry and unloved. SO what is the solution? Well my mother decided to churn out all the goods from her hoarding cupboard of crud and this wonderful tub of rich yummyness surfaced unopened and frighteningly close to the black bin liner which was gradually filling with crusty, gooey bottles of stinky substances far past their use-by date.

I have been using this product for over that preliminary make or break week and I have to say, it is doing wonders for my skin and I do smell perfectly edible.

The basics:
This is a bodyshop product so you're looking at all the eco-friendly goodness you can cram into a pot. The 'butter' itself is cream coloured with a thick consistency and has a rich aroma of cocoa-chocolatey goodness. The pot is 200ml and retails at £12.20.

My experience:
The butter is thick and at first I found the aroma a little overwhelming but I have got used to smelling like confectionary, and have to say I do quite like it. I've used this after a shower and shave and the thick consistency has served my legs well all day and all night. They don't dry out and they look healthier - absorbing it well. Early on I made the mistake of being a bit liberal with my application - this is totally unneccessary as this is such a rich moisturiser it doesn't take a lot of it to serve the purpose.

The cons:
I find I have to wash my hands after using it because my hands become greasy and have a film on them. This is really rich - butter is a very fitting label but I don't overally want that sort of richness on my face, blocking my pores. It is great for cooling the skin after being out in the sun but I restrict it to my shoulders and legs. The other con would be the price: £12.20 for 200ml. It does last but it is a lot for a body moisturiser and is not a light expenditure.

The pros:
There is a range of a cocoa butter products so you can really delve into the range and smell like a chocolate bar all day long. They even recommended it to pregnant women to stop your bump feeling so stretched and taut! It smells great and if you keep it up, the pot lasts quite a while and there are bargains to be had in sales etc...

I highly recommend this product if you want to tackle tough dry skin. It legs are smoother and when I don't over do it, your legs don't stick to one another! I love the smell now and there is a range of related products to get stuck into - I highly recommend though the price hurts a little bit!

Summary: Gorgeous moisturiser, does a great job and has tackled my dry skin!
