Whilst I was pregnant, I was concerned about getting stretch marks and I had read that cocoa butter was good for reducing your chances of getting these. I was a big fan of the Body Shop's Body Butters but I tended to buy the fruit fragrances so as soon as I found out I was pregnant, I purchased the Cocoa Butter and started to use as part of my daily skincare routine.

The butter comes in a pale tub with a screw top lid. As soon as you open the lid, the chocolate fragrance is evident, yet it is not too sickly or overpowering. The cream has a nice thick consistently and as you would expect by the name, it is just like butter and it rubs in really easily.

The body butter is available in store and online, the recommended retail price for a 50ml pot is £5 and for a 200ml pot is £12.50. Although this is quite expensive, they are quite frequently on offer, especially if you like to order online and I have never paid more than £6 for any of the Body Shops Body Butters.

The results are that my skin feels silky soft and hydrated all day long; I tend to suffer with particularly dry skin on my legs, but this really sorted them out, but not only that, despite two pregnancies, I don't have a single stretch mark. It I apply first thing in the morning, I can still smell the fragrance the following morning. A 200ml tub lasts me around 6 months, this is using everyday and all over my body.

Overall, I would recommend this, but I would never pay £12 for it therefore I would only give 4 out of 5 stars.
