Advantages: Inexpansive. Smells good. Even colour.

Disadvantages: The tan doesn't last very long and the bottle top gets gunky

Nowadays with the knowledge that tanning beds and sunburn can seriously damage our skin and lead to skin cancer it is incresingly important that we turn to 'fake' tan products if we want some natural looking sun-kissed colour.

The Body shop range gives an end result colour that is natural and not that awful orange metallic sheen you sometimes get with self-tan.

It smells pleasant too which is a plus - fake tans often smell rather too much of chemicals.

I'd advice applying it with a soft make-up sponge and make sure your skin is smooth and buffed up first. You'll need a lot less than you think.

Put a bit on each day until you build a tan that suits you. If you do it all at once the result won't be as natural looking.

I didnt find that it smeared much or stained my clothes after putting it on, but I am careful. I even use it on my face which I know isn't usually recommended and the result is a natural honey tan.

My first experience with self-tan as a teenager was a disaster! Its taken me years to pluck up the courage to try again and after some forays into buying the expensive options, with varying degrees of satisfaction, I was in the Body Shop buying other stuff and, as their self tan isn't heavy on the purse, I bought a bottle and tried it and was pleasantly surprised by the nice smell and ease of application and of course the resultant colour and cover.

Summary: Natural colour. Smells pleasant. Value for money.
