Advantages: Smells great, leaves skin very clean and soft, not tested on animals
Disadvantages: Expensive.
Like other items in this range, The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel is available in two sizes: a travel size bottle, 60ml (for £2.40) and a larger bottle, 250ml (for £5.85).
This product is sold in a clear plastic bottle (suitable for recycling so it is better for the environment) which allows you to see the level of the bright yellow product inside. The size and shape is quite compact, meaning even the 250ml bottle would be suitable for travelling. The lid shuts tightly and doesn't leak, once again meaning it is ideal for travelling.
This product's fragrance is very good, smelling sweet and just like real mangoes. It doesn't smell fake, unlike the strawberry version of this shower gel.
The mango shower gel is used in much the same way as any other. It is quite a thick consistency and lathers very well so you don't need to use very much product at once. It feels very nice on the skin, and leaves it feeling fresh, clean, soft and hydrated whilst smelling great for hours afterwards. It doesn't leave a sticky feeling on the skin after use, nor does it dry it out, as I have experienced before with other shower gels.
Being made by the Body Shop, this product is ethically produced and hasn't been tested on animals.
To conclude, this is a great product but rather expensive for what it is, although the very high quality of it and knowing that some of the money goes to good causes does make up for this. It leaves your skin feeling and smelling great.
Summary: A great product once you get over the price!
