Advantages: Smells gorgeous, Leaves Skin Soft and smmoth, Non Greasy

Disadvantages: May be expensive for some

This is my new favorite body lotion, I can't get enough of it. So what made me try it in the 1st place. Well after a bit of a browse in the body shop and purchasing some gift sets for birthday presents I was given a free sample to try, I loved it so much I was back at the body shop the following week, buying a tub of it.

The packaging and price

Mango body butter comes in a yellowy orange round tub, with a screw top lid. The label on the lit has a picture of sliced mangos, a very neat and tidy packaging I find. The tub contains 200ml/196g and costs £10, but is also available in mini sizes. If you have a love your body card you can save 10% so it will only cost you £9. When I purchased mine there was a special offer of 20% discount on all products purchased with a love your body card and so I only paid £8 for mine a very good deal if I do say so yourself.

The Product

When you open the tube you are welcomed by a lovely smell of mango's. The product its self is a pale yellow cream with the consistency of butter. The smell is very authentic and the product itself contains mango seed oil. It also contains cocoa butter made from cocoa beans from a community trade source. The body shop is committed to its community trade program and has the following to say on its website "community Trade ensures a fair deal for the producers and their communities enabling them to work together to make a difference to their own lives and have more control over their futures". The body shop are also against animal testing.

Usage

The instructions on the tube say "pat onto skin and massage in". I find that you need to use very little to get a great result which means that although it costs £10 for the tub it should last you a while so is quite good value for money. Its absorbs into your skin very quickly and leaves skin smooth and supple, not greasy, with the faint aroma of mango's (mmmm). It even leaves the horrid dry patches on your knees and elbows soft and supple.

Body Shop Love your Body Card

What is it it, its a card that allows you to get 10% off every purchase from the body shop. You have to purchase the card and it costs £5. Thats a waste of money I hear you cry, but you haven't heard the good bit yet. The card also entitles you to some other benefits as well. In the month of your birthday you are allowed to claim a gift to the value of £5 absolutely free, and there's more. After 4 purchases of £10 or more with your card you get to claim another gift to the value of £5 for free and after 8 purchases of £10 or more you get to choose yet another free give to the value of £10 for free. If you you the body shop a lot its agreat deal.

Conclusion

I have very dry skin and have tried many body lotions and found non to be as good as this. Some of the lotions i have bought I have found that I have had to use many applications to get my skin this smooth and have had to wait for ages for it be absorbed.

There is also another advantage for me with this product, I am absolutely terrible at remembering to apply my body lotion every day. With this there's no problem I love it so much I can't wait to use it again.

Would I recommend it? Yes

Never heard of the card before, but sounds like a great idea - especially as I do adore the body butter range! The nut one is my favourite.
