Advantages: Smells great, works well

Disadvantages: Packaging a little unhygienic

I received this body butter as part of a gift from a friend (most of my gifts now seem to come form the Body Shop!), and as with most of their other products it's not something I would ever buy myself as it's just so expensive. This costs £4.85 for a little travel-sized 50ml pot, or £12.20 for a full-sized 200ml pot.

It comes in a round tub made of yellow plastic, very bright and summery, with a screw off lid. The lid fastens really tightly so there's no chance of it coming open in a bag or if you take it travelling with you. The packaging is very nice, and easy to use, but I would prefer a bottle or tube, just because dipping your fingers into the stuff just doesn't seem very hygienic.

The body butter has a smooth, creamy texture, and is thick in consistency but feels lighter than some other body butters. It's easy to smooth and spread over the skin and it feels lovely and cooling on application. Because it's not quite as rich and heavy as a lot of body butters it sinks in fairly quickly, so you don't have to wait around for ages after applying before getting dressed.

It leaves the skin feeling remarkably soft and smooth without any greasy residue or heavy, pore-clogged feeling, and it gives the skin a lovely healthy sheen to it which is great especially in the summer, it makes you look so fresh and healthy. It keeps my skin feeling moisturised all day long without the need to reapply, and I don't get any dry skin coming back to haunt me.

As with most of the Body Shop's fruity products, the scent is the best thing about this body butter. It has a really fruity, summery, uplifting scent of mango, which is not at all fake smelling or overpowering. The scent lingers subtly on the skin all day, so you get a whiff of summer every time you move!

I do think this stuff is amazing and if it was cheaper I'd be buying it all the time, but alas, my budget won't allow it.

Summary: Wish it was cheaper

Mmm, good enough to eat I think, pity it's so pricey.
