Advantages: Smells great, fairly abrasive to normal skin, moisturising
Disadvantages: doesn't last very long in terms of scrubbing, expensive, container not shower friendly
Used to accompany the range of body shop body butters - (there was an offer where you buy one of each product together for a lower price, rather than being sold for more separately) This works well for people with normal to dry skin. It smells delightful and intoxicates your skin with its perfume so that the scent lingers for hours afterwards - great for use before a night out! I had many compliments - that I smelt nice and fruity!! However, for those of us who have been doomed to have dry to very dry sensitive skin it could have worked better in terms of effectiveness. for example, The scrub consisted of sugar, which dissolved rather quickly after application to wet skin - not enough actual "scrubbing" time, and the moisturizing after effect was slightly oily. Another problem was that the container wasn't shower friendly - open pot allowing water to drop in. The final disadvantage was the cost - at £10.00 - way too expensive in my books, especially as the pot doesn't last as long as it could (due to the dissolving sugar effect) However - good for the occasional pampering, but not really for everyday use if you have very dry skin that needs exfoliating every shower. I think I will just have to keep looking for my ideal body scrub..
