Advantages: Great smelling effective moisturiser

Disadvantages: A little on the pricey side

I've tried a few different 'flavours' of Body Shop body butter now, and its a real toss up between this one and the passionfruit for my favourite. I believe they have now discontinued the passionfruit, which leaves me with this one. Decision made, and no more stading in the shop agonising over which one to have. Sorted!

While I don't really suffer terribly from dry skin I do get the odd dry patches which I like to keep at bay with Body Shop body butters. I use the ones for normal skin, but my sister who has suffered from eczema all her life uses the Coconut for very dry skin, and it has been a godsend for her - literally the only thing that works. So while the products are great across the range my personal favourite is papaya as it suits my skin type.

The smell of this cream is beautiful - it's like sunshine in a pot. The smell is deeply fruity, sweet and rich and keeps your skin smelling great all day without being overpowering. The consistency of the cream is quite thick and does take a little bit of rubbing in and I would recommend not putting clothes on until it has sunk in a little. As a moisturiser the cream is excellent- it eradicates my dry patches which are worst in winter and cheers me up with its great smell all year round.

I've also found this makes a great false tan preparation moisturiser - I use wash off false tan occasionally and a layer of this underneath makes it glide on smoothly and helps to get rid of any patchy bits.

The only sticking point I would reckon some people would find is the price - at £12 - ish for a 200ml pot it's a little steep, but you truly do only get what you pay for. To me, a great product like this is worth it. Also, there are often offers on where you get 2 for £20 which is worth it if like in my family you all use it. Every single time I go in the shop I also get told how many men come in for this product, so it's not just one for the girls!

As an aside I would recommend the Body Shop loyalty card if you are going to buy their stuff regularly as it will save you 10% onevery purchase which is worth the £5 cost of the card for me.

Summary: Very good at its job!
