Advantages: nice smell

Disadvantages: quite expensive compared to other brands

I probably first bought this product about 15 years ago and still have a bottle in my cupboard today - no, not the same bottle from 15 years ago, another bottle.

I bought it because a magazine said it was good! So the next time I went to edinburgh I think I bought the 60ml bottle of this. Hey it cost £2, but that was a lot when you were 13 I seem to remember.

So what is the product? This is The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion. It's suitable for all skin types and it has Peppermint Oil and Menthol to help revive tiered feet.

The bottle I always buy is the 250ml bottle. I know you could buy bigger bottles, but am unsure if you still get the big bottles. The 250ml one costs at last buy £5.50, but I bought this a few months ago.

The bottle design is quite basic. Always with The Body Shop it never looks that fancy, but you know they aren't that cheap compared to other products out there. The bottle is see through plastic, has the label stuck on the bottle and the label is greeny with 2 turquoise feet on it. The lid is black with The Body Shop embossed on it.

Rhe blurb on the side of the bottle says "Feet get the treatment with Peppermint Oil and menthol in a cooling, rich lotion. Sweet almond oil and cocoa butter help soften and soothe dry, rough skin. Gently massage into feet and ankles whenever necessary. For best results use with other Peppermint cooling foot care products."

As with all Body Shop products, they are against animal testing and their cocoa butter is made using cocoa beans from ghana.

So about the lotion then. It smells great. You can smell the Peppermint straight away. It's not too strong or sickly, just a nice minty smell. The lotion is a light pink colour and I think I thought it would be a bit thicker, as it is quite runny. It does work well on the feet, but I think I prefer Avons foot lotions, as they are a bit thicker and in my mind seem to work a bit better.

Also I don't noticably find that this does cool, but it does refresh and sweetens my feet up.

I would maybe try the smaller bottle if they still have it, and if you like it, then you should buy the bigger one.

Good, but thesedays not that great

Summary: get minty smelling feet
