Advantages: Smells nice, Pretty colour and packaging, not tested on animals

Disadvantages: doesn't sink in straight away, not cheap

All year round I have my feet showing for some reason. In the summer I like to wear sandals all the time, and this time of year I like to wear strappy little shoes to go out in. There has to be nothing worse than having dry cracked feet that look nasty and horrible.

I think I have a thing about going out without making a mega effort to look my best. For my feet, I have a foot spa, loads of nail polish and foot lotions. I think that if your feet are going to be on show, then you need to make some effort to make them look nice ? a bit like if you were going to wear a little skirt you would not go out with gorilla legs but shave them! (Well, I would)

A BIT ABOUT THE BODY SHOP

In my local shopping centre is a body shop. Even though they tend to be a bit expensive, when I get paid I usually go and spend a bit in there. I like the fact that the body shop make quality products that you know won?t have been tested on animals and usually make lovely smelling products, apart from a few that smell gross! The body shop have branches all over the UK, so you shouldn?t have much trouble finding one unless you live in a very small town or village in the countryside, but you should be able to find one not too far. I live in South Wales and the one by me is quite expensive, but if you go to these shopping villages ? there is one in Newport, you can get them much cheaper. I went to this place called Freeport in Essex and the discount shopping village there had really cheap prices!

PRODUCT

This peppermint cooling foot lotion is to help revive tired feet. It is pink in colour, and contained in a clear bottle with a black lid. There is a bluey-green label stating the product with two green feet on the label. The lotion is suitable for all skin types. The bottle I bought is 60ml in size and you could probably buy it for around £3.50. To be honest, you are not going to get much cheaper in this shop. This stuff smell
s minty, but not strong. In fact it smells exactly like murray mints, which I love. It also contains cocoa butter which helps to smooth your skin and makes your skin feel really nice to the touch.

RESULTS

Well, I must say after using this my feet feel really fresh and perky! Especially after a long day at work I really need some of this stuff. I have always used this lotion after a shower or a foot spa, I would recommend that this should be used after they have been washed in nice hot water (the lotion is absorbed much easier). My feet do feel a little greasy to the touch for about ten minutes afterwards, but after this time they are left feeling soft and lovely.

ADVANTAGES

This product really freshens your feet up, especially if they are aching or sore. It is the perfect end to a hard day. The lotion is a pretty pink colour, and because the bottle is clear, you can see it and it looks nice on a bathroom shelf or wherever you put it. It is a good rich lotion, which will moisturise and make you feet look a lot better.

DISADVANTAGES

This lotion will take around ten minutes to sink in ? not a good idea if you are getting ready to go out last minute. Even the blokes can use it, but I?m sure most wont! It?s probably best to use this if you can take your time to get ready or if you are staying in. The body shop isn?t the cheapest of places to shop, but I have seen much more expensive fancy foot lotions that do the same job, so I do think that this is a good buy.

SUITABILITY

This lotion is suitable for anyone to use, there are no warnings on the bottle, so I take it should be fine for anybody. I especially recommend it to anybody who suffers from achy feet after work or shopping till they drop! If you are looking for a product for this purpose, this is the best one I have come across so far, apart from one from boots which I cant find anymore. This is fab though,
so give it a try if you want to have nice fresh feet!

OVERALL

Overall, this is a great product for its purpose and I recommend it to all. I think that it is especially good because it is from the body shop, who do not test on animals and use community trade, so you feel that you are helping a bit, too. I give this one the thumbs up - but I'm only giving it four stars because it doesn't sink in straight away!

Sounds like a wonderful product, I think we neglect our feet too much!

I didn't realise they still did this. There's always a little bottle in the free gift sets they give out. :o)

Great op!
