Body shop. Once the home of reasonably priced luxurious smellies. who remembers the "white musk" smellies that were all the rage during the early 90's? or blueberry shampoo that also seemed to have a popularity swell around the same era? Since then the Body shop seems to have remained the same, or maybe slightly depleted in quality but the prices have increased massively. As such I purchase their items purely as a massive treat when i have been really good and hardly spent any money that month or if it comes my way as a gift. For Christmas I was given a bar of soap from The Body Shop as part of a gift set, my sister bought it for me as she knows I love the scent of strawberries and in this particularly cold winter I welcomed the summery aroma of this soap. I loved it from the very first use and just today asked my daughter to pick me a couple of bars up next time she's in The Body Shop, which knowing her will be very soon! Back in the pre-Lush days (or at least before Lush became Lush, and before they were on every High Street), in the 1980s, the Body Shop was the cool place to buy toiletries. For me, as an animal cruelty-conscious teenager (that is, against animal testing, which was widespread at that time), it was the only place to go. It was pretty expensive, but deemed to be worth it, and the fruity soaps were popular gifts amongst my friends. I bought this Strawberry soap bar from Body Shop a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't going to, but they had a 3 for 2 offer on bars of soaps so I picked it up along with 2 Coconut soap bars. Body Shop's bars of soap usually cost £2.50 each, which I think is a reasonable price to pay for these delicious soaps. Body Shop's Strawberry Soap has a real strawberry/fruity smell, is 100g in size and comes wrapped in a plastic film. It has Body Shop's logo imprinted on the top. This is a vegetable based soap and contains strawberry juice and derivatives of palm oil and glycerine.
