The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter
Advantages: Beautiful scent, thick and moisturising, nice tub
Disadvantages: Slight artificial scent in tub
I bought my Body Shop Satsuma body butter as part of a giftset that was going cheap just after Christmas. After telling my sister how much I liked the Satsuma range she bought me a larger Satsuma giftset.
This is how I have two 50ml tubs of Satsuma body butter.
~ Packaging ~
The tub is just over 2 inches wide and is round and bright orange. There is a sticker on the top with a picture of some brightly coloured juicy satsumas. The body shop logo is in the centre of the sticker and around the outside is information regarding the product 'Satsuma Body Butter With satsuma oil to moisturise NORMAL SKIN.'
The lid unscrews to reveal the almost white, orange tinged thick body butter.
~ Product ~
The body butter is thick and creamy and does not move about in the tub very easily. The scent is strong and beautiful - it smell of satsumas - really fruity and sweet.
I spent many an hour sniffing at this tub when I first got it, but I have now stopped sniffing it as I now think it smells a bit artificial and plasticy in the tub. This is not the case on your skin though. It is fruity and sweet on your skin. It is easy to apply - the butter is really thick and a little goes a long way. I have been using this for almost a year and I am still not through my first tub. It sinks into your skin nicely and leaves it's lovely scent on your skin.
I really like this body butter. It is my favourite body butter by The Body Shop. I really like the soap, body polish and the shower gel from this range as well and would really recommend all of The Body Shop products in the satsuma range.
~ Price ~
The 50ml tub that I have retails for £5.00.
The 200ml tub is £12.50.
It is available in store at The Body Shop or you can order it from your local Body Shop representative, if you have one. They do brochures like Avon. Also you can order online at thebodyshop.co.uk
~ Overall ~
Overall I think this is a lovely body butter - it has a beautiful scent and is really thick and moisturising. It sinks into your skin quickly and leaves a subtle satsuma scent on your skin.
I think it is reasonably priced and long lasting. I would definitely buy this product again once my tubs are gone.
Summary: Lovely scented body butter
