Review of BODY SHOP Shea Body Butter I have been a fan of Body Shop products for many years now and was delighted when a branch opened in my home town. I had read about the softening effect of shea butter and was pleased to see a range in Body Shop so decided to try it. ~~The Product~~ This is a rich body moisturiser developed for very dry skin. It is a natural sounding product contaning Shea butter from Ghana, one of nature's great moisturizers. Cocoa butter made with cocoa beans from Ghana, babassu oil from Brazil and beeswax from Zambia. The product is made in the UK using the above ingredients. It also contains water, ... Read the complete review

I don't normally shop in The Body Shop because, although their kind to animals and fair trade ethos really appeal to me, and I know from experience that they do make some brilliant products, I find it just too expensive compared to other high street retailers - there's no way I'm going to spend £6 on a shower gel when I can get a £1.50 one just as nice down the road, AND it's BOGOF! So when I saw this Shea Body Butter as a free gift with a magazine a few months ago, it was a great opportunity for me to sample one of their most popular products. My trial size came in a 50ml flattish, round, screw-top plastic tub with an image of Shea nuts on the lid. This size ... Read the complete review

I've tried a number of Body shop body butters and have always enjoyed the scent and the luxurious feel of the product on the skin. I usually stick to the fruitier varieties such as mango and plum. But last month this came free from Marie Claire magazine so i have been testing it ever since. What body shop say: This butter is made from community trade shea butter which is supposed to moisturise very dry skin. They say it can leave your skin moisturised for up to 24 hours What i got: I received a 50ml small tub of this product from the magazine. This usually retails at £4.85 for the same size tub and is available at Body Shops nationwide. ... Read the complete review

I suffer from dry skin, especially in winter; the harsh weather and fact that I need hotter water with showers really takes a toll on the skin on my arms. I hate the unsightly dryness I get and the patches they form on my upper arms, and I don't want this to stop me from wearing tops with shorter sleeves, so I've been on a mission to find the right cream to sort this out. I went to the Body Shop to see if they'd have anything that could help with my skin problem. As I'd gotten a few things from them before for cracked feet, which sorted that problem, they surely had to have something that could do the same for the skin on my arms. One of the assistants ... I recieved a tub of Body Shop Shea Body Butter as part of an offer including 2 other products for £25 at my Body Shop at Home party. Of all the products I received, this was the one that I was most looking forward to trying. I often suffer with dry skin, and even the bits that aren't really dry just aren't as soft as I would like them to be without a good moisturiser! Shea butter is known for it's moisturising properties and is extremely good at getting rid of that stubborn dry skin, that other things just don't seem to touch! The Body Shop Shea Body Butter comes in a cream, round tub, exactly the same as pictured. It is available in 2 sizes. ... Read the complete review
