** The Body Shop ** Most people know about The Body Shop brand or have heard about it at some point in their life but in case you haven't this is a very brief run down of who they and what they do. The Body Shop is a HUGE company, it has over 2400 stores in 61 countries and they have a product range of over 1200 different products, and this is growing all the time!! The Body Shop was originally set up in 1976 by human rights activist Dame Anita Roddick. The body shop company have very strong values in terms of caring for the environment and everything in it. Hence, why all of their products are naturally sourced, not tested on animals and all fair trade. This ... Read the complete review

I don't suffer from dry skin, I am one of the lucky ones who has normal skin but I can use products for dry skin sometimes. This product is made of Shea butter and is a salt and sugar scrub. This product has a gorgeous smell, I love the way that the sugar melts with the warm water on my skin. You only need a small amount to make the product effective and it is very scrubby indeed. Afterwards my skin felt soft and smooth without the need of using a Body Lotion which is a bonus as it saves time in the morning as well. I brought a large pot which lasted me about six months, so it offers value for money as well. This product contains ... Read the complete review

The description on the pot reads that its for very dry skin. I thought this was a bit of a contradiction at first: if you have dry skin, you do need to exfoliate, but it would surely make your skin drier anyway and you would need probably more moisturiser at the end, so why bother to call an exfoilating scrub, good for dry skin? Well, I figured I would give it a go. The skin on my legs is always overly dry and prone to ingrowing hairs as a result to this would be useful to me. It comes in either a large pot, about hand-span sized and costs £12.00 at the moment (Summer 2008). Also, in the summer months, Body Shop produce travel sized ones which are ... Recently I got talked into hosting a Body Shop at Home party (long story!) and as a result of the sales I made on the night, I received £25 worth of free products. I instantly chose a collection of 3 items from the Shea range. The reasons for my choice were a) I had already spent £26 on the 2 items I wanted b) I had used products with shea butter in the past and they had been fantasically moisturising and c) the woman who came to do the party told me that Victoria Beckham uses them. I'm not sure if that's true or not, and I don't like Posh Spice much either, but I have to say it was quite a selling point!! I would kill for skin like hers (sure much of it is airbrushing ... This Shea Body Scrub was brought for me as part of a Xmas gift set so not only did Ihave this to try but the body butter as well. This is made by The Body Shop so I knew that I had no problems with the products failing to meet expectations in terms of ingredients. The Body Shop doesn't test any of its products on animals and they support fair community trade. This body scrub comes in a 200ml round tub with a screw cap making scooping the scrub out quite easy. The ingredients are:- Octyl Palmitate (Emollient), Sodium Chloride (Salt) (Viscosity Modifier), Helianthus annuus (Sunflower Seed Oil) (Emollient), Sucrose (Depilatory Agent), Silica ...
