The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter
Advantages: Smells great and makes my skin feel lovely
Disadvantages: Its a little bit pricey
Ok so I picked up this body butter about a year ago because it was on offer just before christmas. I've always been a big fan of body shop items but tended to avoided them due to the price and the shop itself. I tend to avoid going into their stores purely on the basis that as soon as you walk through the door there is a sales assisstant ready to pounce on you, they try and get you to buy things you dont want or look over your shoulder as you browse and it can be very off putting. You can buy online but I think that defeats the point, the reason I like the body shop is the array of smells and seeing all the products on display.
As I mentioned above I'm not to keen on the prices of their items as £13 for a 200ml pot of body butter seems a ridiculous price even for how nice it is however they have a sale on at the moment (online and instore) where it is priced at £4.55 which seems like a much fairer price, however when you shop online the price in the sale comes up as costing £6.50. However I still think this is a fair price and I will be popping out later today to stock up on many different flavours and scents.
I love the fact the have a huge range of scents including fruits and nuts and all are as delious smelling as the last. The scent stays long after you rub the cream in, the majority of the time it lasts all day.
The body butter leaves my skin feeling AMAZING and really moisturises to make skin feel smooth and healthy. The strawberry body butter is for normal skin some of the other flavours are for other skin types but I feel it doesnt do a lot of harm is you use a normal skin on dry skin etc.
The body butter comes in a red circular pot (red for strawberries) and has an image of the strawberries on the lid. On the back there is a label with the ingredients and storing instructions on. It also states that they are against animal testing which I love about the body shop. I do try to avoid buying products tested on animals but a lot of the time I dont have time to be checking all the labels. With the body shop none of the items are tested on animals and it is stated clearly on the packaging.
The butter itself is a light pink colour and quite thick. This means you can pick it up easliy and it rubs in just as easily. You dont need a lot of product to cover your body as mine has lasted a year. It rubs in easily and makes my skin feel hydrated all day.
I would 100% recommend this to a friend I have not found a single fault with it, I would buy again but only if on sale. I am giving this 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars if it were cheaper.
Summary: I would buy this again if on sale and definatly recommend it
