Advantages: Smells divine and easi;y absorbed.

Disadvantages: Expensive at full price

Background
-----------

I still had money left on a voucher I received for Christmas and decided to see what was included in the sale at the Body Shop. Usually most of the items on sale are in "packs" usually in some form of bag. Most of the time there are one or two products that I don't like in these and I usually avoid them. On a table at the front of the shop was a display for all things raspberry.

If there's one word that seems to halt me in my tracks, it is the word "raspberry." It doesn't matter what I am looking at, it could be house furnishings or in the food aisle but I become unusually interesting in all things raspberry. I digress.

Something about the start of the New Year always convinces me that I am going to change my ways. I will exfoliate, I will pluck, I will use cucumber slices and I will moisturise. I was instantly drawn to the raspberry body lotion.

Product
--------

250ml of the Raspberry Puree Body Lotion will cost you £8 normally but as of time of writing (Jan 11th 2008) it is on offer for £4. It describes itself as a lightweight cooling moisturisation with delicious raspberry seed oil and organically grown soya oil. NORMAL SKIN.

It says it is easily absorbed, an excellent natural conditioner rich in omega 3, 6 and 9, fatty acids and vitamin E. It is in a handle sturdy plastic container with a pump dispenser and it smells divine, like raspberry angel delight.

My Opinion
-----------

Unlike my review of their tinted moisturiser this product actually does what it says on its labels. It is very easily applied, easily absorbed and almost instantly cooling. I think that this would be particularly good for the summer (if we get a summer this year) as it immediately cools. Unlike some body lotions where you have to sit around in your towel waiting for "absorption," to take place, it doesn't take long for the lotion to be absorbed into the skin. You instantly feel that you are doing your skin some good.

I can't speak for its ingredients and I didn't notice them when I bought the product but hopefully in my new fad new year's momentum the omega 3-9's will work their magic.

I do think that they would be best selling this is a slightly bigger size as 250ml is quite small and at £8 (normally) I think this is very expensive despite the quality of its ingredients.

Summary
---------

I think this is one of the few products from the Body Shop that I would go back and buy. However, my top tip is to go now while its half price. I think I will be visiting before the sale is over, or
alternatively visit their website and take advantage of free standard delivery.

It really does smell like angel delight and if you are a fan of all things raspberry then you'll delight in this angel!! Giggle cheesy tag line to end the review!

Thanks for reading.

Summary: Go on you know you want too.....

I'm never sure whether smelling like a fruit is a good idea. :-)
