One of my new Body Shop Faves!

I just love the Body Shop and I am often visiting their store or website spending too much money on their products. I like trying out their new products but I also have some firm favorites which I keep going back too time and time again. I had wanted to try their Vineyard Peach collection for ages, so when a 50% online voucher code appeared in my inbox in December I couldn't resist purchasing a tub of the Peach body scrub along with some other Body Shop goodies.

The Body Shops Vineyard Peach Body Scrub comes presented in a 200ml tub with a screw top lid, which looks quite similar in style to their famous body butters. There is a large circular sticker on the lid which shows the brand logo, along with a picture of a beautiful round ripe juicy peach. The actual tub is transparent, so the peach scrub can clearly be seen inside.

General information is given on the base including ingredients and cautions. There is also a smart barcode which can be scanned via an app, this will give the consumer more information on the Body Shops community fair trade ingredients. Once opened, the product should be used within 12 months.

The body scrub itself is a light peachy colour it is of a nice consistency, I am able to take a nice scoopful in my hands without it running everywhere. The grains are plentiful, they are not overly harsh but work well at gently exfoliating and buffing away dead skin. After use my skin looks and feels amazing, it is softer, fresher, brighter and healthier looking.

I absolutely love the fragrance of this scrub, in fact it smells good enough to eat (although I wouldn't recommend this!) its no surprise that this smells of Peaches, but I wasn't prepared for how fresh and real it would be, it is in no way artificial. I would say it is rather strong though and does have a decent staying power, I like to pair it with the matching body butter or lotion. Of course, it may be a little strong for some and if you don't like fruity or peachy fragrances than this one certainly wont be for you.

As you may have probably guessed, I really love the Body Shops Peach Vineyard Scrub. It smells amazing and leaves my skin looking and feeling fantastic. Pair it with other products from the Peach Vineyard range for a truly fruity experience.

The Body Shops Vineyard Peach scrub is currently showing up as unavailable on their website which is a bit of a shame - I hope it hasn't been discontinued. If i remember I paid around £4 for it. A quick look online shows me that it is available from private sellers on Amazon and eBay - prices vary.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Nice to use occasionally

I quite like Body Shop products but they can be very expensive so I have a 'wish list' of items I am saving up for. I like to use body scrubs from time to time to slough off my dead skin cells and generally to brighten my skin and speed up my circulation. It helps with cellulite, I am told, so this is the main reason I use scrubs. I treated myself to a 200ml tub of Body Shop Vineyard peach Body Scrub. It was expensive at a shocking £12.50 for a tub of this size but as it was my treat to myself, and I don't treat myself that often, I convinced myself it was worth the money. I usually use Boots Botanics body scrubs so using this one was going to be a unique experience, but one I was also looking forward to.

The packaging looks to me to be very similar to the Body Shop's body butters. The scrub comes in a similar looking little plastic tub, rounded in shape and with a twist off lid. I did have a sniff of the tester pot in the store before I bought this so I knew what was expecting in terms of fragrance before I bought it. It smelled good enough to eat and so I paid for it and left, happy with my purchase.

Two nights later I used this scrub for the first time and I have used it quite a few times since. The scrub itself is white in colour, and not pale peach, as you might have expected. It's quite a thick consistency, but then you'd expect it to be really, as it is a scrub and not a moisturising cream. It has a lot of tiny little grainy granules in it, about the same size I'd say as the Boots Botanicals body scrubs and it feels rather thick and gloopy when it's applied to the skin.

I use this in the bath or shower and I massage it in circular motions across my body. I use it from the bum downwards, paying special attention to those areas where my skin is very rough and dry. I also use this on the upper parts of my arms, between my elbows and my shoulder area as this is where I have a collection of horrible little red pimply things, which apparently have a special name, but it escapes me right now.

As I massage this scrub into my skin I can actually feel it's quite rough to use though it's not an unpleasant sensation at all. It rinses off reasonably well but I often find little grainy bits left behind if I don't rinse and keep on rinsing. The smell of this body scrub is nice and I'm not disappointed in it, as such, but then it's not the nicest Body Shop product smell I have ever used. It's fruity and sweet and nice in small doses, shall we say. The fragrance gets a little bit too much for me personally, after a while and as it lingers on the skin for a long time after application, I also think it can become ever so slightly cloying as fragrances go.

The scrub has more advantages than disadvantages, however, but I just wish it wasn't quite so expensive. It does a good job at smoothing out my skin and giving it a bit of a glow and though it's not a product I use very regularly, it's nice to use once in a while to perk up my skin.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        A great product!

Although I am not an avid shopper at The Body Shop I can be rather enticed with a bargain from time to time and it is a shop that I browse in quite often. I am against paying their full prices of anything though so when I saw this body scrub reduced to a fiver ages ago now from the usual price of about £12.50 a tub I opted to try it out.

I do really like body scrub and do use one on average a couple of times a week to buff up my skin and to eradicate dead skin cells and I suffer with dry skin as well on some parts of my body and I when I spotted this I thought it may help with all of the above issues......well I rather hoped it would!

This came in a plastic round pot that is a light pink and houses 200ml of the scrub. The lid twists easily on and off and on that we are told that it is a Body Shop product and there is a picture shown of a peach on there and then on the base of the tub other information listed includes the ingredients being given, the size is stated and contact details for The Body Shop are also stated. Its a nice and robust tub this one and the lid is easy to remove.

        The Scrub Itself:

Off white in colour with a delicate peach scent that is sweet but natural all you do with this one, or should I say all I do with this one is to wash myself first and shave if I want to any hairy bits off and I use this as the last thing in the shower/bath. The product is dence and quite thick so I don't need to use very much of it at all and it contains lots of 'scrubby bits' as I use it though it isn't uncomfortable to use and I simply massage it in, in a circular motion that again isn't uncomfortable and then I rinse it off.

        Conclusion:

Simple to use, the fragrance lingers on my skin for a good few hours in a really pleasant way and my skin is left feeling none greased up, smooth and soft and I do believe the promise of this one that it gets rid of dead skin cells as my skin looks so much brighter than prior to using this. It doesn't congest my pores at all and is suitable to use about 3 times a week, I use mine a couple of times and a little of it really does go a very long way indeed meaning that a 200ml has plenty of uses!

        All In All:

I love the scent this one give off in use and on my skin and the positive effects it has for me. I will deffo buy this when its on sale as its such good quality and really does work so thumbs up from me!

Only available from The Body Shop.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        undecided on this one

A few years ago I had some peach body scrub and I really liked it it was beautiful and the effect on my sin was lovely. I couldn't find the same type as I used to have so when I saw this on the Body Shop website I bought it hoping it would be just as good as the other brand I once used. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good although it was nice, it just isn't for me.

I bought this using their website it was on special offer a large tub for half price. It was easy enough to use the website and now since I've bought from them they keep emailing me with tempting special offers which is always lovely to know about!

It comes in a round container with a big picture of a peach on the top. It's peach in colour too so it's very obviously peach flavoured! The first thing I did when I got it was take the lid off and smell it. This is where it let me down. It did smell like peach but it was really sweet and was a bit too false smelling which surprised me as lots of reviews say it's really natural but it was too sweet. I had to use it though after spending money on it.

I tend to use this whilst in the shower to help exfolliate and found that the little gritty bits were few and far between compared to the other product I used to have. This meant that I had to use more than I anticipated so of course this means that the tub doesn't last as long. It does feel nice to use though, I did feel as though it is exfolliating nicely and doing the job it's supposed to. I use it on my face too and it doesn't affect my skin in a negative way which sometimes creams and things can do when I put them on my face so this is at least very gentle even if it is a scrub!

What I find when using this is dries my skin out, it feels quite coarse and so I always moisturise after using it to help to keep my skin soft and by using a scrub followed by a moisturiser it makes my skin stay smooth and I hope it will help towards the ageing process too (delaying it!) so the result if used with a moisturiser too is nice.

I am not sure if I recommend this or not. I recommend a scrub as I think it helps your skin to be as healthy as possible and it feels nice if used with a moisturiser afterwards but the actual smell of this isn't all that nice although it doesn't last once you've rinsed it off which is a good thing! I also have to use quite a bit so a tub won't last long so I'm undecided as to whether I recommend it or not. Perhaps it would be best if you smell this first so you can decide for yourself if it's a scent for you or not! Yes, that's what I recommend- try before you buy!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        3 stars

I love the body shop and I love fruity smelling beauty products but sadly this one missed the mark for me and I don't like it as much as I thought I would and as much as I usually do.

I like treating myself to Body Shop products, they always make me feel as though I'm helping others because of their work in other countries and they are always such good quality it gives me a bit of luxury. My daughter bought me this body scrub and I thought I would really like it as I do like fruity things but the smell is disappointing.

It comes in a large round tub with a lid which you twist off. The lid is sometimes difficult to put bak on and if you don't put it back properly then bits of the scrub dry out and tend to stick to the lid which makes it harder to get off.

The scrub is quite gloopy so you scoop it out with her your hands. The smell is of peaches but for me it is too sweet and doesn't smell very natural which isn't like The Body Shop at all, usually their scents make my mouth water but this is too sweet for me.

It is a good scrub though, it's not too harsh but not too gentle so the result is usually skin which feels soft afterwards although I always moisturise too so it doesn't feel dry.

The smell really puts me off though so I don't use this regularly and prefer to use other scents instead. This is disappointing but I'm sure it will be suitable for some people.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A nice scrub but could do with a bit more smell

Last October Bodyshop had a glitch on their online store meaning I got about £40 of products for about £12 which makes them fantastic value, I bought a couple of body butters one of which was Vineyard Peach so I decided to have a try of the matching body scrub too.

A tub of the body scrub holding 200mls of product will set you back £12.50, I would never have paid full price for this but as I had been wanting to try some of the products for a while it was the ideal opportunity.

The product comes in a see through round plastic tub which has a peach screwtop lid on it, on the lid is a sticker with a picture of a lovely looking peach on it with a couple of leaves sprouting out of the t top of it. Also on the sticker you have the usual brand name, product name and the weight of the product. On the underneath of the tub there is a peel back mini booklet which provides you with the contact details for Bodyshops and a list of ingredients, it is promised that the product will lift away dead skin cells and stimulate microcirculation.

Inside the tub you find a lovely smelling product of sweet peaches, I love the smell of the product although for myself I do like stronger smelling items. The product is peach in colour and there are loads of little brown seeds in it which of course is for exfoliation.

The scrub is really thick and creamy so I tend to just use my fingertip to scoop a little out of the tub so I don't end up with too much of the product at one time, I dot the cream around my skin and then use my fingertips to gentle rub the scrub around my skin in circular motions. The scrub washes away from your skin pretty easily and doesn't leave behind any residue.

After using the product I find my skin is beautifully soft, the product doesn't seem to dry out my skin at all although I do moisturise so I can't say whether it would or not used on its own. The scent doesn't last very long which I have found to be the same with the matching body butter unfortunately.

I love the feel of my skin with this product but there are stronger smelling ones within the range which I prefer, I rate this 4 stars simply as the smell isn't strong enough for me, I do actually think the product is good enough for the price tag although if you buy something online from Bodyshop then they are forever sending you money off emails so you should never need to pay full price.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Smells gorgeous and leaves skin soft and moisturised

I don't normally buy the body shop products because they're quite over priced in my opinion but whenever they have offers or a sale on I will usually place an order.

I bought this body scrub (along with the body butter) when I spotted it in the clearance section on the website.

It was reduced to half price so I thought it was worth trying it as my usual exfoliating scrub had nearly run out. The scrub comes in a light pink medium sized tub which is really girlie and I quite like the packaging.

The scrub itself isn't what I was expecting as it is a bit of a cross between a body butter and a body scrub and if i had known this i dont think id of bothered buying the body butter as well as it is an all in one scrub and butter. It's very creamy and i wasnt sure if it would be exfoliating enough at first.

It is light pink with different shades of dark granules in it which are natural extracts of soya and marula (whatever that is!) The granules aren't very big, so they aren't as harsh as the body scrub that I was using before this as the granules in that were quite chunky. Despite this, it does a good job at exfoliating and gets rid of any dead and dry skin, leaving my skin looking and feeling healthier and glowy.

The smell of this is amazing, it smells completely natural and summery. It smells exactly like a fresh, juicy peach and I have to remind myself that its not edible whenever I use it!

I use this all over my body, but mainly my elbows and knees as they tend to get dry. It's also gentle enough to use on my face, although if you're not used to exfoliating I would recommend just using it on your body.

It leaves my skin feeling absolutely amazing, so soft and clean and the scent lingers for ages. The body scrub does have a few ingredients in it that aren't exactly natural including colouring, however it's not irritated my skin at all as of yet and I've being using it for around three weeks.

It contains a fair few natural oils so I was a bit worried it might make my skin a bit greasy, but it leaves it soft and smooth.

I'd definitely recommend this as it smells amazing and is a good exfoliator. Its a bit pricey at full price though so I'm glad I got it on offer.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

An excellent exfoliator with a wonderful scent that lingers

As you can probably tell from this and my other reviews, I really like the Body Shop and I've been shopping there a long time. When the Body Shop stopped selling their Fuzzy Peach range, it was a dark day... admittedly it was quite a long time ago, and I'd (just about) started to get over it, when....

The Body Shop started selling peach scented stuff again!! I was so excited when I saw this range on sale before Christmas. Luckily I had one of those vouchers the Body Shop give out with most purchases, giving you a tenner off if you spend £30 (I know, you still have to spend quite a lot for the voucher to be worth while, but sometimes it's worth it) so I splashed out a bit on some lovely peachy-flavoured Body Shop products.

My favourite of all the Vineyard Peach products I tried was, by far, the Vineyard Peach body scrub. It has a really lovely, fruity peach smell that lingers on the skin long after it has been applied. For anyone who does remember Fuzzy Peach perfume, this is very similar. It is a warm, fruity peach fragrance, with a little hint of apricot too- a real feelgood fragrance.

This is a body scrub with a really good texture- rather than being too gritty or grainy, it really does leave your skin feeling soft and invigorated but without feeling in any way scratched or irritated. The exfoliating shells are in a really soft and moisturising peach scented cream which makes the whole experience feel quite luxurious.

I have to say that at £12.50, despite being lovely, this body scrub is overpriced- however, there are usually offers on in the Body Shop meaning you can end up paying a lot less for this product. Sadly, I think the Body Shop may be discontinuing this line as I saw it in the sales after Christmas, which is a great shame as this would be a great addition to their permanent range.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Another lovely scrub from The Body Shop.

When I decided to take advantage of some really good offers in The Body Shop a few weeks ago to make a start on my Christmas shopping I also decided to treat myself. I'd been eyeing up the new Vineyard Peach collection in stores for a while and thought I would buy myself a few items within this range and one such product I decided to buy was this Vineyard Peach Body Scrub.

This scrub costs £12.50 for 200ml and is presented in a clear, circular plastic tub with pale orange screw on lid. The top of this lid displays a picture of a ripe peach with The Body Shop's silver logo printed in the middle. Around the sides of the tub we get the product name and short description which reads 'with peach extract and vineyard peach fragrance.' The bottom of this tub holds a sticker with the ingredients list and states that this is not tested on animals.

Through the clear tub it is easy to see the very pale orange scrub and the masses of brown seeds it contains to exfoliate the skin. Opening the lid reveals this more clearly and the thick, creamy scrub is revealed in all its glory. The moment the lid is taken off this tub the scent hits you. It's a beautiful, light, fruity and juicy peach scent which smells like the real thing and isn't in the least bit synthetic. It's a slightly sweet scent but overly rather subtle and is just very pleasant smelling.

I like to exfoliate my whole body once a week and for the last few weeks I've been using this scrub to do so which has proved to be a rather pampering type of experience. The thick scrub is easily scooped up into my hands where I can then begin to rub it into my skin. The exfoliates contained within the scrub are gentle enough not to irritate my skin or cause pain and discomfort but rough enough to work away dead skin cells which is exactly what I want from a body scrub really!

The scrub is packed with exfoliating seeds meaning I only need to use a little bit of scrub each time and find an olive sized blob adequate for each limb. My tub looks as though it will last for at least three months of regularly weekly use before it needs replacing which does make it seem less expensive. Fortunately The Body Shop always have so many offers on it's very easy to never have to pay full price for this anyway.

The scrub rinses off easily and all of those seeds drain away down my plughole with the water so I'm left scrubbing them out of the bottom of my bath. After drying my body I'm left with beautifully soft, smooth and supple skin which looks brighter, fresher and healthier. The peach scent lingers faintly on my body for around an hour or so although it nothing to get excited about on its own. Fortunately there are other products in this range including a shower gel, body lotion and body butter so the scent is easy to layer if you wish for a longer lasting and stronger scent. I usually apply my Vineyard Peach Body Lotion after using this and my skin looks, feels and smells amazing.

This is a lovely little body scrub which I highly recommend. It does the job well and smells amazing!
