Advantages: Smells beautiful, easy and simple to use, very effective and gentle.

Disadvantages: Smell doesn't linger for very long on its own, a little expensive at full price.

When I decided to take advantage of some really good offers in The Body Shop a few weeks ago to make a start on my Christmas shopping I also decided to treat myself. I'd been eyeing up the new Vineyard Peach collection in stores for a while and thought I would buy myself a few items within this range and one such product I decided to buy was this Vineyard Peach Body Scrub.

This scrub costs £12.50 for 200ml and is presented in a clear, circular plastic tub with pale orange screw on lid. The top of this lid displays a picture of a ripe peach with The Body Shop's silver logo printed in the middle. Around the sides of the tub we get the product name and short description which reads 'with peach extract and vineyard peach fragrance.' The bottom of this tub holds a sticker with the ingredients list and states that this is not tested on animals.

Through the clear tub it is easy to see the very pale orange scrub and the masses of brown seeds it contains to exfoliate the skin. Opening the lid reveals this more clearly and the thick, creamy scrub is revealed in all its glory. The moment the lid is taken off this tub the scent hits you. It's a beautiful, light, fruity and juicy peach scent which smells like the real thing and isn't in the least bit synthetic. It's a slightly sweet scent but overly rather subtle and is just very pleasant smelling.

I like to exfoliate my whole body once a week and for the last few weeks I've been using this scrub to do so which has proved to be a rather pampering type of experience. The thick scrub is easily scooped up into my hands where I can then begin to rub it into my skin. The exfoliates contained within the scrub are gentle enough not to irritate my skin or cause pain and discomfort but rough enough to work away dead skin cells which is exactly what I want from a body scrub really!

The scrub is packed with exfoliating seeds meaning I only need to use a little bit of scrub each time and find an olive sized blob adequate for each limb. My tub looks as though it will last for at least three months of regularly weekly use before it needs replacing which does make it seem less expensive. Fortunately The Body Shop always have so many offers on it's very easy to never have to pay full price for this anyway.

The scrub rinses off easily and all of those seeds drain away down my plughole with the water so I'm left scrubbing them out of the bottom of my bath. After drying my body I'm left with beautifully soft, smooth and supple skin which looks brighter, fresher and healthier. The peach scent lingers faintly on my body for around an hour or so although it nothing to get excited about on its own. Fortunately there are other products in this range including a shower gel, body lotion and body butter so the scent is easy to layer if you wish for a longer lasting and stronger scent. I usually apply my Vineyard Peach Body Lotion after using this and my skin looks, feels and smells amazing.

This is a lovely little body scrub which I highly recommend. It does the job well and smells amazing!

Summary: Another lovely scrub from The Body Shop.
