Advantages: lovely scent, lightweight, easy to dispense

Disadvantages: none to be honest!

A little while ago the body shop had a sale on but not only did they have this sale but they also released a code which gave you 50% items, even those included in the sale. I thought I would take the opportunity to purchase some early Christmas presents for some people and I ordered a whole range of wild cherry products. One of the items I ordered was the wild cherry puree body lotion and when it arrived the bottle had leaked all over the box and although everything else was salvageable the body lotion had around a third missing so I decided to keep this for use myself and this is my review.

The wild cherry puree body lotion comes packaged in a clear tub which looks much like a hand wash in many respects with its pump at the top. On the front you have a label featuring the body shop logo, the product information and a picture of some juicy looking cherries. There is also some information about how the cherries are sourced for the product which is a nice little touch I think. The bottle is recyclable which you would expect from the body shop and the product should be used within twelve months of opening.

The actual body lotion is a lovely pink colour which you can see through the bottle. The bottle contains 250ml of the lotion and it cost me just £1.24 in the sale which I am sure you will agree is wonderful value!

Using the body lotion is really simple as you just pump it out through the hand pump at the top of the bottle. I find this a useful feature as some body lotions can be pour out and be a bit tricky to get the right amount. With this product I just pump a couple of pumps at a time so I don't really end up using too much. What I noticed first about the lotion was the gorgeous cherry scent that it has and I would certainly say that if you like cherry scents this will be one for you as it really is lovely. The lotion is quite thin but it is easy to rub in to the skin and although it feels quite wet at first this is only for a very short time and then it leaves lovely soft feeling skin. The scent lingers on the skin for a few hours too which is nice as it is a sweet and fresh scent which I personally think is nice.

What I like about this body lotion is that it is quite lightweight and is absorbed so easily by the skin. When I have a bath I do like to apply lotions afterwards but I hate that sometimes it feels like forever before I can get dressed! With this product it is not a problem and I like that. The product says it is for normal skin types and my skin is probably normal/dry on my body and it works well for me. Don't get me wrong, my skin doesn't feel quite as well treated as if I apply a heavy body butter but for me body butters are a more luxurious treat for skin anyway. For day to day use this puree body lotion is great and I would certainly recommend trying it should it be available in stores!

Thank you for reading my review!

Summary: A lovely lotion and a bargain for me!
