... really hard pressed even after multiple sniffings to pick out what those spices might be. I can tell you that I don't smell ginger, have no idea what a jojoba smells like but that I do think I can detect a bit of cinnamon. To me though, it just smells rather perfumed. I wasn't entirely sure if I liked it - I do on the whole tend to pick out fruity or sweet scented items for myself, so it may just be that it isn't what I'm used to. It's certainly not an offensive smell though by any means, and has actually really st...more

The Sanctuary Body Lotion: Turning my bathroom into a Sanctuary (858 words)

One of my favourite body lotions at the moment is made by The Sanctuary. I do not usually buy this brand because I think it is very expensive for what it is but my dermatologist recommended the body lotion because I have refused to use the evil smelling medicated body lotion I was prescribed and she said this is a very good alternative. You can buy Sanctuary products either from the Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden in London or the big Boots shops sell quite a big range. This body lotion comes in a tall round bottle that has a lid covering one of those flip tops that you press down at one side so that the end that the lotion comes out of pops up. I first bought this body lotion as part of a Sanctuary Spa gift set, a few years ago, and have bought it a few times since. I don't use body lotions regularly, but this is one that always seems to get used up quickly when I have a bottle in the house! ~What they claim this does~ On the front of the bottle underneath the Sanctuary logo, you will see claims that this product will 'firm, tone and moisturise' Now, you will need to look closely to find that out, as it is written in fairly small print! The back also states that the ginger extract in this product will help boost circulation, which in turn will help reduce cellulite. It also contains ...  Read the complete review

* INFO & PRODUCT DETAILS.. * In recent times, I have become quite fond of the Sanctuary Spa range of toiletries and cosmetics, and have been raving about the range to just about anybody who will listen to me. As a result, I received several gorgeous gifts from the range from one of my very close friends recently, who presented the items to me in a gorgeous gift box for my birthday. One of the items from the range was "The Sanctuary Body Lotion" which is a product I had already tried out and loved. I was delighted to receive the full-sized bottle (250ml) of the beautiful lotion among my other birthday gifts. As @ July 2012, ...  Read the complete review

I received my Sanctuary body lotion last Christmas as part of a large boxed gift set which was available from Boots. The large orange coloured box was full of Sanctuary Spa products and it all looked quite luxurious. As I had never tried the Sanctuary Spa range before I was looking forward to trying out the products included in my set. Sanctuary Spa is in Covent Garden in London and they state that their products allow you to recreate the perfect spa experience in the comfort of your home with their "indulgent range of natural beauty products." Although the packaging would maybe lead you to believe these products are fairly expensive to buy, it is ...  Read the complete review

My legs are left neglected under long trousers and jeans during the cold winter months, so when the sun starts to make an appearance and it's time to bare some skin, my legs are in much need of some T.L.C. My skin, when left to its own devices, gets very dry and scaly on my legs, and the tops of my arms can get quite dry too. I've been on a lifelong mission to find the perfect moisturiser to tackle the dryness, and after going through dozens of half-used bottles lying forgotten in my cupboard, I think I might have finally found it! ---What Is It?--- Sanctuary Body Lotion is part of the range created by the Sanctuary Spa in Covent Garden. ...  Read the complete review
