“ Brand: The Sanctuary / Type: Body Butter / What it does: Enricheses, destresses „

I was given The Sanctuary Lomi Lomi Relaxing Body Butter as a gift from my brother at Christmas. I have no doubt in my mind that this was selected by his girlfriend and I must say she chooses well. Much better than his ex that bought me Paris Hilton Just Me Eau de Parfum. Only recently have I used this as I had a number of other moisturisers and body butters that I wanted to finish off first so that I could get rid of the empty tubs and clear some room.
*About the Product*
This fragrant body butter blends deeply nourishing nut oils of kukui with tension relieving exotic flower oils of monoi and frangipani to calm your mind and relax your body, leaving your skin soothed and comforted.
Applying this body butter is the same as applying any body butter or lotion. You simply need to scoop the body butter into your hand and massage it into your skin. You should do this in small circular motions for best effects and it will soak into your skin if you apply it this way. I have found that you need to use quite an amount of The Sanctuary Lomi Lomi Relaxing Body Butter as it isn't a product that goes a long way.
When applying this body butter, ensure that you avoid contact with the eyes with this product as believe me it does sting quite a bit.
*Price and Availability*
The Sanctuary Lomi Lomi Relaxing Body Butter is to buy in two different sizes. The 300ml tub can be purchased for £7.29 and there is also a travel size 50ml tub which costs £2.29. This is the average cost for products like this however I personally don't think that the product is as good as the alternatives, particularly in terms of aroma.
As with most Sanctuary products, this body butter is available to buy from Boots stores. This body butter can also be purchased online at www.Boots.com or directly from brand themselves at www.thesanctuary.co.uk.
The packaging: If you have used the any Sanctuary body butters before then you will be quite familiar with the way that this product is packaged. It comes in a small translucent (with a tinge of pink) round tub with a lid that twists on and off. I like this type of packaging when it comes to body butters and creams as you can scoop exactly the amount of the product that you desire. And if you select to much, you can put it back in, unlike if it is a bottle or tube. Plus you can access even the very last bits of the body butter. I like most Sanctuary packaging and this product is no different. It is simple, stylish and recognisable to the popular brand.
Colour, smell and texture: This product is a white/cream colour with no shimmer or glitter in the cream. The Sanctuary Lomi Lomi Relaxing Body Butter is a strange smell. I find it neither appealing or unpleasant. It is a clean aroma with an ever so slight floral hint. The smell isn't particularly strong and it doesn't linger on your skin for much longer than an hour after it has been applied to your skin.
The texture of this body butter is neither thick nor thin but it does have quite a luxurious consistency and this makes it easy to apply. It soaks into your skin fairly quickly although I would always suggest waiting 10 minutes or so before putting on clothes.
Does this leave your skin soothed and comforted? Yes, it most certainly does. When I apply this body butter to my skin, once it have soaked in, my skin feels significantly softer, soothed and more comfortable than when it is dry.
Longevity of the product: A tub of the 50ml travel size The Sanctuary Lomi Lomi Relaxing Body Butter will last you approximately three to four weeks if used every other day, depending on how much of the product you use. It is the perfect product to take on holiday if you plan to sit in the sun all day as your skin dries very quickly and you need double the amount as usual.
*Would I Recommend It?*
The Sanctuary Lomi Lomi Relaxing Body Butter is a pleasant body butter however I don't think that there is anything particularly unique about it therefore it isn't necessarily a product that I would recommend. I think that there are a number of different alternative products that I would suggest you buy rather than this one that have better moisturising qualities or a better aroma.
I would only recommend using this body butter if you haven't used many before and just want one that will soften and moisturise your skin. This is because there are cheaper and better body butters and creams within The Sanctuary brand and outside of it.
The Sanctuary Lomi Lomi Relaxing Body Butter is a nice enough product that softens your skin excellently and leaves you feeling smooth and silky. My problem with it is that the smell has nothing stand out about it and I think that if you didn't bother with it then you wouldn't be missing out.
