Advantages: leaves skin soft and clean

Disadvantages: a little greasy and a bit pricey

As a loyal fan of the luxurious Sanctuary Spa products, I bought myself a jar of this Salt Scrub to get rid of the dead skin that had built up over the months of hiding under thick jumpers, cardigans and the long winter coat.

~~~~ The presentation ~~~~
Presented in a resealable chunky glass jar with a metal clasp closure (exactly as in the picture), with the sanctuary fish and logo on the front.
~~~~ The Product ~~~~

Made with sea salt (from the Dead Sea, I am led to believe), Jojoba oil, sweet almond oil, coconut oil and evening primrose oil. It is cream in colour. You may have to mix the scrub a bit prior to use as the oils seperate from the salt and rise to the top.

The scrub is supposed to remove dead skin cells from the skin, leaving new skin underneath that is fresh and clean and thanks to the essential oils in the scrub, extremely moisturised.

It smells a bit sickly sweet but not overly so, and the fragrance is not all that strong once it is rubbed into your skin.

~~~~ my usage ~~~~
Climbing into a hot shower, I proceeded to rub the salt into my damp skin. It looks quite coarse, but did not feel like it once it was rubbed into my skin. I gently massaged it in, taking time to rub it into elbows and knees, and let the oils do their work. I also put the plug in the bath to catch the escapee bits and to let my feet soak in the oils from the scrub that fall into the bath.
I rinsed off the scrub and washed quickly with sanctuary body wash as I find the oils that the scrub leaves on my skin is a bit too much and I feel a bit too greasy.
~~~~ My conclusion ~~~~

My skin is super soft and moisturised and I feel clean and refreshed after my shower. Although I wash off most of the oilyness of the scrub, my skin is still highly moisturised and I dont feel the need to use the recommended body butter afterwards due to this. The scent of the scrub and the body wash is still noticable on my skin although not too strong and overpowering.

I would definately recommend this, but only to use once every week or two.

It retails in boots at £8.95 for a 650g jar but lasts for ages.
