Advantages: Great exfoliator without being painful!
Disadvantages: None for me.
This salt scrub sachet was part of a 'The Sanctuary' bumper gift set.
- Price -
A 60g sachet is currently £1.29 and is a good size and price to assess as to whether you want to invest in a little bit more.
If you want more..... then the 650g tub is £9.99 which does in fact work out quite a bit cheaper if you like the product!
- Packaging -
I can only comment on the sachet which is in a basic packet, needs cutting open. The 650g tub looks much more attractive.
- What is it and what does it promise? -
The bumph on the packaging claims the following:
* Contains almond oil - a highly absorptive oil from the kernel of the almond. Known to have skin softening and soothing properties.
* Coconut oil which is a light, natural emollient that helps to moisturise and protect the skin.
* Jojoba oil - a light natural emollient that helps moisturise the skin and therefore promotes a radiant complexion.
* Sea salts - removes dead, dull skin cells, therefore helps to increase and improve cell turn over.
- How to use it -
Massage on to damp skin using a gentle circular motion. Rinse away the sea salts and allow the oils to absorb in to your skin.
- My Experience -
This salt scrub has quite a strong smell which does tend to linger on your skin well after using it. It isn't a strong feminine, floral based smell which is a bonus if you want to wear a feminine smelling perfume as it won't clash with it.
Having used many other exfoliating scrubs I was quite apprehensive about trying this one, given that so many others have been quite painful to use.
The texture of it isn't aggressive on the skin. It is sufficiently rough and textured to actually exfoliate my dry lower leg area without being too harsh and painful to use.
It is easily applied on to wet skin and more importantly for me, very easily washed away, no small, irritating clumps are left on my skin. The oil is extremely evident and nourishing to my skin. It moisturises my skin so well without leaving it feeling it greasy and as for exfoliating.... it does the trick, getting rid of dead, dry skin cells.
- Overall -
A superb exfoliating scrub, that leaves my skin feeling nourished and moisturised. The 60g sachet has approximately 10 applications, remembering that I only use it on my lower leg area, this being the driest section.
Given this positive experience, I will have no hesitation in buying the large tub.
Summary: A great scrub.
