Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Lack of perfume
Having seen the price of the Origins Salt Rub I decided to hot foot it to Boots and buy the cheaper alternative product, which is, the Sanctuary Salt Scrub. Despite its low costs in relation to other brands it is presented in a 'premier product' way i.e. a large glass tub. Although I undoubtedly like the look of this I am not so sure whether it is very safety conscience as because of the high amount of oil contained in this product overspill of oil (when scooping the contents out) could means that is could easily be broken. The product contains all manner of things including Dead Sea salts & sweet almond oil. The scent is a pleasant slightly gingery smell however it doesn't linger on the skin. However for someone who is not into very heavily perfumed products this was ideal. To use the rub you massage handfuls of the salt all over your skin when showering or bathing. I found it to be very gentle, but be warned ~ do not shave and rub, it is agony!!! Because of the amount of oil contained in the rub your skin will be well oiled (so to speak) when you dry-off. However the feeling was of being lovely and moisturised rather than that of having a greasy body. It also leaves your skin lovely and smooth. All in all a great value product which is let down only (for some) by the lack of noticeable perfume.
