~Womanity Perfumed Body Milk~
Womanity is a fragrance collection offered by Thierry Mugler. This collection includes an eau de parfum and a few complimenting products including this body milk that I will be reviewing today.
This body milk (full size version) is presented in a pale pink bottle with an usual silver lid which has a womans face on it. If you purchase a gift set, the body milk is presented in a simple yet stylish pink, squeezy tube with an 18 month shelf life from first use.
The scent of Womanity is described as 'sweet fig, salty caviar and sensual fig wood'. The body milk is designed to be lightweight yet full of ingredients which should nourish and hydrate your skin and leave it feeling smooth. - information taken from www.escentual.com.

I am a huge fan of the Thierry Mugler brand and initially tried Womanity EDP when it was first released. I loved it so was delighted when my sister offered me a tube of the complimenting body milk. My review mainly discusses this body milk as a stand alone product but I will also be able to give an indication of how well it performs with the matching EDP as I have used both products together. I will say from the start that Womanity is either a scent you will like or dislike - I have came to this conclusion from a mixed range of reviews I have read about the perfume over the last year or so. I fall into the 'like' group but it won't be for everyone.
This body milk is a pleasure to use and not much is needed to create the desired effect. The milk is a pale pink colour and definitely looks feminine. It has a thin, easy to pour and spread consistency which feels light and smooth against my dry, rough skin. On massaging this milk into my skin, I notice that it turns to a clear, slightly shiny layer at first but it doesn't look or feel overly greasy. It actually reminds me of a light serum and leaves my skin looking bright and healthy rather than oily.
I find that this body milk provides a really good amount of hydration for my dry skin. It doesn't leave my skin moisturised all day long but my skin does feel silky smooth and moisturised for at least 12hours which I am happy with. The milk, as you would expect, is much lighter on the skin than the body lotion in this range. My skin soaks up the milk quickly and leaves no residue behind on my skin. This lotion is very gentle against my sensitive skin despite being perfumed though I am aware that others may not have the same experience. I have personally not experience any sensitivity issues when using this body lotion.
The fragrance offered by this body milk is quite strong and may be too strong for some. I personally love it as it is a unique scent and fits in with the Thierry Mugler range perfectly in my opinion. Once I have massaged this milk onto my skin, it smells absolutely lush! A warm, spicy scent which is rather foody and moreish is evident and in a rich, appetising way. It is a complex scent which makes me think of fig and perhaps cinnamon or another sweet spice. It is gorgeous.
After a short while on my skin, the scent seems to get stronger and changes to reveal an even more tempting and delicious aroma which is salty, sweet, spicy and rather fresh at the same time. It sounds weird but the combination of the caviar and fig really works and it is a treat to detect on my skin. At times, I catch a whiff of the body milk and it reminds me of salty-sweet popcorn. I recently tried Skinny Popcorn at an airport and the smell reminded me of that - absolutely heavenly! It is a confident scent which is completely different to others in the fragrance market. There is a great balance between the savoury, sweet and spicy notes in this scent.
The scent of this body milk remains noticeable on my skin for a good 6 or 7 hours. When worn alongside the perfume, the scent is evident all day. I find that both products work together perfectly though may be a little powerful for some. I love the way this body milk feels and smells on my skin. I'd recommend giving the scent a chance as you may not like it initially but it is one of those scents that slowly pulls you in. Thierry Mugler have done an excellent job of creating a complimenting body milk as it smells very much like the EDP but in a slightly weaker way. It is an expensive purchase but very much worth the higher cost in my opinion as the quality is excellent and little is needed per use. It is a gourmand treat for all!
